No, but they do hold at least 100 pages in the pocket.

What is the size of the pocket?

The pocket is 8.5" wide and 6.5-7" tall. it's kind of hard to decide where to measure because the pocket does expand. If there are only a few sheets of paper in the pocket, it seems larger because of the extra side material laid flat- but if you were to pack it full, it would be 8.5 x 6.5".

If I don't want to put it in a binder will it still be functional?

I personally wouldn't use them like that because they are too thin and come indivisually. So I'd answer that question with a no, they are more efficient in a binder. Hope this helps!
