GREAT starter book for kids/beginners
Hadn't realised all the initial reviews were essentially publisher reviews! However, the book has arrived and I can honestly say this is A GREAT book! For kids/beginners.Bought for my 9yr old daughter for Xmas, this book is full of basic instruction and really good ideas for projects, all of which are achievable with only a little assistance from me!Her and her sister have already made a couple if fruit shaped pin cushions and have now ordered material for a beanbag for the cat to sleep on!Would highly recommend.

What you see is what you get
Pushing their luck really saying 30 projects. I was looking for a book full of projects lkke the pizza and sloth. There were about 5 of these. The rest was intricate detail on how to sew. Really? The best way for children to learn is with an adult, not using a book. Their weren't enough pictures, and whats there is too small. Most pages looked like the photo I took.

Great book
My 7yr old granddaughter wanted to learn to sew. I got this book for her and was quite impressed. Very detailed and well done. She is so excited to start making something.

Simple and easy to follow. Perfect for beginners
I bought this for my daughter. She is 11 years old. I love how simple the instructions are. With the great illustration, this is really a perfect beginner's guide to sewing

Patterns mentioned but no longer available online
I purchased this book through my hubbies Amazon account and noticed no patterns were provided with the book. When looking at individual projects they mention patterns can be downloaded from a website. I’ve gone to that website and requested the patterns twice two weeks ago and received nothing. This makes the book pretty useless.

No patterns available, but the author will email them.
Loved the book, but without the patterns it's not worth much. My 9 year old granddaughter and I figured out a pattern for the felt flowers, but it took so long to figure out that we couldn't get the patterns. Does anyone know where we can access the patterns? I'll try to contact the author.I contacted the author and she emailed me all the patterns.
