does the filter come with rubber seal or ring?

mine did not come with the O ring for the canister. Just the filters.

which is preferable for WH filter 5 micron or 20 micron?

As a rule the smaller the number the more the filter removes...however they also will need changing more often. We use a 20 our well is not terribly hard and this works fine. We change it about every 2 months.
