Almost perfect
I have been using foam like this for over twenty years while working in The Air Force. This foam is exactly the same as the material we used then. I would have given five stars if it weren’t for the paper used on the back of the foam. The instructions would have you draw your tool outlines on the paper. Every type of marker I used rubbed of easily. Another drawback was I couldn’t find a way to hold my tools steady while drawing the outlines. They would slide around making accurate outlines impossible to draw. If you use a Sharpie type marker and draw on the front of the foam, you can wipe the excess ink off with rubbing alcohol after you make your cuts. Another drawback to trying to cut through the paper first is your entire blade will gum up with the adhesive. If you cut the foam from the front only the very tip of the blade will gum up.

The backing is absolutely garbage.
I really really wanted these to work. The foam itself is very good quality. The adhesive seems pretty good as well. My gripe, is the backing on the layer you outline your tools on. The paper is pure garbage. Not one single piece of the backing is on flat, there are lumps and bumps all over. You cannot lay tools down on it to trace around them due to this. Then comes the tracing tools part. This stuff could not be further from usable in this regard, I have never used something that can turn a sharpie into a dry erase marker. Literally you can use a sharpie and house later wipe it off with your hand. I have tried, pens, pencils, using painters tape to create a writable surface and it comes off. Nothing I have found works with this paper to trace. It is super slick as well, so it is almost impossible to hold what you are tracing in place to actually get a decent outline. If you have the patience to keep going after the tracing issue and holding tools in place and you do get to where you can cut the material, using a Dremel type tool will yield a better looking cut but will make the paper nearly impossible to get off of the back. Using an X-acto type blade will allow the paper to come off easier, however your cutouts will most likely look like a child’s drawing of your tools and be somewhat laughable to look at. My toolbox is shipped all over the world for my job, I needed something to shadow with that would give me good results. This product very well could have if it wasn’t for the companies choice of backing material. For the price of this material it’s not worth the hassle. I would not recommend this for anyone who needs good clean cuts and doesn’t have access to a CNC machine. Literally, the backing is a show stopper for me.

Buyer beware
I was under the impression that 5s = 5 sheets. I feel they need to change the business name (5s), and not show 5 pieces of foam. When in reality you only get 1 foam, and 1 backing. Very expressive foam.

OFERTA ENGAÑOZA
Uno se confunde con la imagen pensando que son 5 unidades a la venta y por el alto precio del mismo no representa la inversion del producto. No lo volveria a comprar, porque existen mejores productos a un menor precio.

ridiculously expensive and kind of a pain
way too expensive. if you aren't using something to burn through this then you will constantly have to clean very sticky glue off of your knife. the instructions say to mark the paper on the back, but it's waxy paper that doesn't mark well and the tools slip everywhere while trying to hold them in place. I bought a single piece to try before I spent the money on a whole toolbox worth of foam and I'm glad I did. This stuff is way too expensive for what it is.
