The Elementia Chronicles #1: Quest for Justice: An Unofficial Minecraft-Fan Adventure Paperback – July 28, 2015

The Elementia Chronicles is a fiction series of three books (Quest For Justice, The New Order, and Herobrine’s Message) by Sean Fay-Wolfe. All of the action takes place in Minecraft biomes, including the Ender Desert, Mushroom Islands, and Tundra. The main protagonist is a player named Stan who is the President of Elementia, a Minecraft server. He believes that all players should be treated equally, regardless of their level. (He is also an excellent axe fighter.) Stan goes against King Kev, who believes that lower level players are taking all of the resources. King Kev wants them kicked out of Element City. My favorite character was Leonidas, who is a player who first works for King Kev and then for the Noctem Alliance. Leonidas is a determined character who acts on his beliefs and is willing to go to great lengths for justice. My favorite scenes were the battles between Stan and King Kev because you really don’t know who is going to win as they play out. Fay-Wolfe definitely chooses words that match the situations and events well.I feel that the series improved over the course of the three books. The third book was my favorite because there was a lot of action. There is also an exciting character, Herobrine, who is introduced in the third, and that created some new possibilities. Overall, the series will definitely appeal to people who play Minecraft, but others who enjoy a good adventure story will like it, as well. It helps to have a working understanding of Minecraft vocabulary as you read. For instance, if you have no idea of what a creeper or NPC is, you might be a little confused in places.

I purchased Quest For Justice: A Minecraft Novel (Elementia Chronicles) (Volume 1) for my 9 year old son, who loves Minecraft and is an avid reader. Prior to Quest For Justice we've found that most Minecraft books claiming to be "novels" are in reality short stories of about 100 pages or less, nearly all of them written by author's only passingly familiar with the game. Not so with this book. It is a solid 400 page novel and, in my sons words, Sean Fay Wolfe "gets it"(Minecraft).After finishing the book in just over 3 days of obsessive reading my son set it down and immediately asked if we could go to the book store and pick up the next one. "I really want to know what happens next, dad".I started thumbing through the book later that night because I was curious to see how a 16 year old author had captivated my son's attention and quickly found that I was getting pulled into the story. The layout and cadence of writing create an engaging flow for the reader; the storyline is well thought out and imaginative; the character development is rich and detailed.In short, Sean Fay Wolfe is a very talented young author and Quest For Justice is a fun, well written book that will capture the imagination of any Minecraft fan.anxiously awaiting Volume 2!!!!

I just finished reading this most amazing book. Frankly, I was absolutely blown away by it.....an exciting, edge of your seat adventure...I actually reacted to it with a variety of emotions: "oohs," and " oh , no, how could that happen", humor, sadness in some situations, and relief when help arrives...The story ended by leaving me with eager anticipation for the sequel, The Noctem Ascension. Can't wait for its publication.As for writing style...well, it has all the elements of a great novel...You'll see for yourself when you read it. What's even more amazing is that this novel is the creation of a 16 year old author!! Harry Potter and Hunger Games move over...there's a new kid on the block. I know now why the kids are clamoring for this book. It captures the imagination of not only Minecraft players, but anyone who's interested in a stimulating adventure read. But don't think it's only for kids! I am a 79 year old woman, veteran teacher with 2 master degrees and I was completely pulled into this story and could not put it down. It truly does captivate. I am not a Minecraft player, but I am the grandmother of this young brilliant author, Sean Fay Wolfe.To quote the kids, "Awesome!"

As a teacher, when I came across this author initially through Twitter I was very intrigued because my 4th graders often talk about Minecraft. I bought the Kindle edition so I could easily preview it not knowing whether or not I would really want to buy a copy to have in my classroom. I'm so glad to have made the initial purchase because my students (and I) have been on fire with it ever since the About the Author page and the Prologue.This read-aloud choice was definitely the class favorite of the year. One day, when I had to close reading time, one student said, "There's never a good time to stop reading!" It's true, because with a book like this one with well-developed characters, suspense, good vs evil, and lots of action, you don't want to put it down.We finished the book today, our last day of school. We were amazed by the ending and so watched the book trailer for Book 2: The Noctem Ascension. WOW! One student said, "I have to read that book!" What a fabulous way to end the year with kids excited for reading the next in the series.Now it's time to buy (preorder) the trilogy for the classroom!

I loved this book for a couple of reasons. 1. It lasted me a long time so I didn't have to just read 120 pages and then done, no it was a good long book.2.It had a good story line and all of it fit together perfectly like a finished jigsaw puzzle.3. The storyline was great had had a engaging ending that made me read the next book (The New Order) it was action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat every second. It wasn't like. Then he got up and had some wheat bix nonono it was like I said before action packed.This book is a masterpiece and I recommend end it to any who loves adventure or even just fans of mine craft. 11 out of 10 best book ever good work Sean Fay Wolfe
