OVO ACCQP-01 Universal Muffler for Central Vacuum Systems, White

I added this to the outlet of my Electrolux 1590 and it significantly reduced the noise levels. Worth it if you’re using a similar unit in your garage or basement shop.

Reduced exhaust noise by at least half. Did not reduce motor noise as it is not designed to. In other reviews, I believe people are complaining about the motor noise. It is very low as designed by the internal muffling. The unit is quieter than many portable home vacuums.

Part is as expected. Makes it a little quieter. Mainly muffler the sound of air coming out of the unit. New vaccume is much quieter then old one. The noise from the vaccume itself doesn't seem to be changed by this muffler. This just helps with the sound of air exiting the unit. Note you need to order an adaptor kit fro. K Ovo or have 2 in vaccume pvc that you can use. Note w in pvc schedule pipe frome homedepot has a thicker wall and does not work. Muffler is good not great. Would recommend using it because of how easy the install is and the low price compared to the central vaccume cleaner. Also muffler won't wear out so if central vaccume cleaner wears out you don't need to buy a new muffler. However you deffineatly do not need a muffler, but yes I like it.

This definitely quieted the vacuum but only a bit. Seems like it muted more of the high frequencies?

I used it in an outside installation. My vacuum is very loud outside the house and I wanted to do something nice for the neighbors. It does exactly what it's supposed to. I'm quite pleased. BTW - I read a review by someone who used it in an interior installation and said it didn't do anything. In an interior installation the biggest noise source isn't the vacuum's exhaust. It's the motor. An exhaust silencer won't help motor noise.

Mufflers typically have baffles. All this is is a straight piece of pipe which arrived in a plastic bag with no labeling of any kind. No supplier or manaufacturer indicated. You can look straight thru the pipe. Nothing to deaden any sound. Don't waste your time or money on this item..

As advertised. Does the job well. Muffles the sound of the motor. I have the central vac unit mounted in my garage. It is quiet already, even more quiet with the muffler. Can hold a conversation standing near the unit, worth the expense for sure.

This buffer actually works! Easy cuts the noise in half. Only thing that would make it perfect is a clamp attachment.

This muffler quiets the high pitch of my central vac. It does not make the unit quieter, but definitely does make the sound more bearable.

Un peu déçu, ne change pas grand chose du son de l'aspirateur central. Très peu efficace.
