Is it good in Espresso?
Excellent in espresso, just a small espresso spoon full and it gives it both a touch of sweetness and a whole lot of flavor.

Great anise flavor!
I love putting this syrup in my licorice-flavored tea! It is such a treat that I usually have it for desert.

Great flavoring
I actually bought a bottle and took it down to the local coffee house. I love savory flavors like licorice, and they used to have a drink called the black cat (anise and white chocolate latte). Dark star anise has enough of a similar taste to bring back a favorite. They love the idea and it's basically my own personal drink. As a note, this stuff is very thick - almost like honey. It's also very strong - you don't need much. For a single cup, a 1/2 tsp is sufficient for the licorice-like flavor to really shine through.

Tastes great
If you like a shot of anisette in your coffee, but have issues getting into the office half toasted, this is a fine alternative. I just wish they made a sugar-free version, as my mid-section really doesn't need all of those simple carbs. Good stuff.

Tastes so yummy with water and ice in the summer. Got this first in France and was looking for anise syrup here in the UK for some time. Love it and lasts for a long time.

I first drunk aniseed cordial in France and absolutely loved it. If you like aniseed you'll love this it's surprisingly refreshing cold and also delicious hot. The flaver is very strong you'll only need a small amount.
