Compact, simple, & powerful little pain relief
This is a powerful little unit. I purchased a similar option for my husband before purchasing this one. Even after reading the manual for that one, I kept forgetting how to use it because it simply wasn’t very user friendly, requiring complex sequences of buttons to do any particular action. This unit is everything that other unit wanted to be. It is small & compact, easy to carry in your pocket. The Buttons are labeled appropriately and make sense as to what button does what function. For example- the button labeled ‘T’, is used for time. (Seems simple-but you’d be surprised how many manufacturers turn a simple task into a complex sequence for the sake of aesthetics) I charged it fully when I first got it- I’ve used it several hours since then, still going strong. I like the electrode “resting” pad. A place to put your electrodes when not in use, (if you discarded that original plastic sheet) allowing them to stay clean and maintain their stickiness. That was a simple, but helpful addition to this great little product. The price is very reasonable, especially with all the little helpful components and options within the unit. It’s a great help with pain too! And that was the ultimate goal. I’m grateful to have an affordable, non-pharmacological pain management technique quickly and easily ready to use. I think you will appreciate this purchase, just as I have.

This is the one to get!
Auvon Tens Model AS-8012 I've had this for a couple years now, I paid for it, so I can leave an honest review. I've never heard of a tens machine until using one at the chiropractor's office. Then I read somewhere that the ones on Amazon are not as powerful as the commercial ones. THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY, it is VERY strong when turned up, very strong. The battery lasts forever, I've probably only charged it a few times. Multi mode, dual channel, and comes with multiple pads. The pads last a long time. Wash them with a little mild soapy water and press them onto a piece of wax paper and they will last a long time. This is an outstanding bang for the buck. You can't go wrong with this unit, and for this price. Buy it and thank me later. I don't usually leave Amazon reviews, but this little unit packs a serious punch, good quality, simple to use, and does what it does, very well.

Great quality
I was skeptical on the quality of this item considering it did not come from a doctors office but WOW! Works great, compact and truly helped with my neck pains on the first use! Considering the price this is a no brainer!!

Better than the 4th Gen cheaper 6 setting one...
Sorry for the long review and rambling, but this tens unit has caused a lot of confusion, and me being a curious little Hobbit, I can't *not* say it all. I cannot figure this thing out for the life of me. I've read the instructions so many times. I've had 2 of the other 6 setting cheaper ones of the same brand where you can't control the different sides (A+B), and I didn't even need instructions to figure that one out. On the instructions for pad placements, some pads are shaded. There's no indication on what that means, but chiropractor told me to crisscross them and I'm guessing shaded pads on the diagram are from one wire. The cheaper one was soooo easy to understand, but this one, not so much. I took pictures of how he had the professional one in the office on my back when I saw him 18 months ago then bought one for at home. He explained how to do it myself in detail so my dumb blondeness wouldn't cause more damage or injury to my already wrecked back. I'm 36 and I'm too young to hurt like this *sigh* BAD car accident. These instructions seem to be backwards on some of the placements from what my dude said. He's been a chiropractor and owned this office for like 20 years so I trust him more than this booklet. I think I might just do it how I was taught since I have no idea what the mode numbers mean... they don't really point to anything specific. What does the 1 and 2 mean? No specific instructions. Maybe like on mode 3/4, the "1" means 3 and the "2" means 4? Are A and B supposed to be on the same 1 and 2 of each mode, or the opposite? Does A and B have to be on the same mode if they're in the same spot, like my lower back? As in, putting A on mode 4 and B on mode 13? This modeI, the instructions should be more detailed since the others are so easy, this one has way more buttons and SO many settings. It works a lot stronger (maybe DEEPER is the word I'm thinking) with the modes which are the same as my old one, that's for sure, but the pain was gone in 30 minutes with the other one and with this unit it seems to take longer for pain to subside. I might try an ice pack and thin towel on top like the chiro does in office, he recommend that for my home use too. I wish I wouldn't have accidentally ordered two of them, but for the price it's okay. My best friend has more pain than I do, everywhere, so early Christmas I suppose? I'm too lazy to return it and I love her face. I might update my review with her thoughts when she uses it. The battery lasted FOREVER without charging on my last one, hopefully this is the same. I'm really irritated that this one is a micro USB charger, my others from this brand are type C. Pads are more sticky than the replacements I bought for the other unit. Overall, I'm happy with it. I got it on Prime day deals for $23, I anxiously waited for it to go on sale for months. I'm definitely taking it with me to the chiro for an adjustment in the next few days so I can get advice from the man who knows all the things and the stuffs. For now, I'll stick to my old one so I know what I'm doing.

So much pain relief in a small package!
Bought this after a shoulder injury. It's is AMAZING. the technology is game changing and helped control aches and pains while recovering. It's small, and has a long battery life. Two channels allows you mix therapy patterns. Those patterns are very diverse from more gentle sweeping feelings to more punchy and strong. All have the ability to dial in intensity. The leads are very long, so you're easily able to have the unit sit on a night stand while in bed or a chair. But having it in a pocket etc is just as easy. The contact points are standard male/female connections (vs clips) which are easy to connect. They are generous in the amount of pads that come with the unit, including a few different sizes (square and a few longer rectangle ones) You can reuse these for quite a while before stickiness starts to diminish. (Which you can simply wipe with a damp cloth to prolong/rejuvenate that stickiness.) Cost is minimal compared to the pain relief it gives. Highly recommend if you have muscle aches, Sciatica or other muscle/tension related pains.

The sticking pads do not contain adequate adhesive gel. The booklet provided with instrument does not clearly mention the mode to be used for TENS.

I got this from my dad as he was having some pretty serious back pain and he says that it works like a hot dam. He uses it for about 15 minutes every day and it is so small it can fit in his pocket while he is moving around or if he is on the couch. Says that it keeps a mobile for five or six hours, but then he can feel when it starts to wear off. Easy to use easy to program and small if you were looking for a little portable device.
