DROCON GD60 Mini Drone with 720P HD Camera, Headless Mode, 3D Flips & Rolls, 3 Speed Modes for Kids and Beginners

This is the first drone I have gotten for myself. It’s a beginners drone for those looking at entering this hobby.I have like practically no experience flying drones. I have tried like twice with higher grade drones & didn’t have much luck, or I just really didn’t give it the proper chance. I’m more of an RC car racer lol.So, it comes very nicely packed, box with plastic bubble cage inside. It comes with instruction manual, detailed enough to get you going. There’s a parts kit that includes a mini screw driver, propeller guards & 2 sets of extra propellers which is pretty cool. The remote is pretty basic & easy to figure out, left stick is your throttle (up/down) and it also serve as a bank left to right. The right stick changes directions (front, back, left, right). The 2 buttons onthe center top control your camera/video functions & the center pad has the power button & trim buttons which allow you to calibrate your drone if it’s drifting. It comes with a short USB cable to charge the drone, which takes about a little over half hour. You do get an instruction card inside that tells you how to activate the 12-month warranty, which needs to be done within 2-weeks.So, getting to the flying! took me about 5 minutes to figure out the controls. I did install the propellers wrong at first when I took them off so I could install the guards, since I know I was going to need them. All propellers have a ‘F’ or ‘R’ marking on the bottom of the blades, make sure you follow the guide for proper installation, or it wont fly properly. So, with that settled...To pair the drone to the controller, you have to turn on both devices, then push the left throttle all the way up & then all the way down. from there, as you push the throttle slowly up, she begins to take off. If she doesn’tstay in one place, you will need to use the trim pad in the center of the controller to make her stable. Once that’s done, its pretty much fly time.I know this seems like a lot, but I found this to be WAY much easier than the other drones I have attempted to fly. I think it would be fun for kids definitely! I would definitely recommend this for a beginner, easy to use & pretty inexpensive.I did receive this item for free in return of my honest review. Here are a few pros and cons that may or may not be helpful.Pros: Flight time. (It may not seem like a lot but you can pack a lot of fun if it's fully charged. Flight time depends on charging time.) Built Quality. (Yes it's small but the built quality is great for such a mini drone. Ease of use. ( The steps to flying it are easy and fun but you must read the instructions. Not all drones are the same. Other than that you're good to go. Flying distance ( It really does go the distance so be prepared to chase after it. It can reach high altitudes so make sure you fly yours in an open area other wise it might end up in a tree or someone's roof top. ( It has a 720 mega pixel camera and it records videos. Which is great. I've never seen that on a mini drone.)Cons: ( Nothing that I can point out right now. I'll have to fly it for a few more days to point them out.) I haven't tried the camera because I couldn't find a micro SD card but sure will ones I can get a hold of it. I'm excited to record videos of my flight time. Let me sum it up by saying that I'm very pleased with my purchase and over all experience. I highly recommend this drone if you're a beginner like me but do advice to read the instructions provided. It will really help you out.

This drone was a bit confusing at first; the documentation is a bit lacking. Intended for outdoors (I tried in my bedroom), this drone is fast, and takes a few tries to get used to. Knowing how to use the 4 trim buttons helps to stabilize the flight allowing for photo/video to be taken. It even comes with replacement blades should they get chewed up, but more important is the mini screwdriver that is included and needed to replace the batteries on the controller. It's so small that I would be concerned about heavy winds or rain, but otherwise it is fun to fly around and more fun to try and land safely 😀. This has been one of the best Christmas gifts I've received this year, certainly the one I've played with the most.

This drone is junk. 1st: Instructions written in miniature type, Had to find magnifying glass to read them. 2nd: Battery life is under two minutes between charges. 3rd: It is impossible to trim the flight. You can press the trim buttons forever and it will always drift. 4th: the controls have very little play. Press the joystick and the copter doesn't move. The all of a sudden it goes full on. There is no middle ground. If you buy this, save the box because you will be sending it back.

So disappointed in this Christmas present for my son. It worked for a day, but it turns out that the circuit easily slips out of the housing and gets worn off from the take-off. Now all it does is stumble all over the floor. Merry Christmas, son. You got a piece of junk.

My first order came it in a timely manner. Got the drone charged up and the remote never would sync up to the drone. I put in a request for an exchange. Got the second drone and the very first time I got it off the ground it instantly flipped. Could never get it to fly right. I just asked for a refund on it. I will not bother trying to get one that isn't defective.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This is a very nice little drone with camera. I have never flown one before and it does not take long to learn on this little bugger. If you are a newbie, I suggest learning in wide open space where there is grass or soft ground.

Instructions are good, and complete, though not great, sometimes contradicting themselves. Everything works as it should, except I have not learned yet how to switch to 4 channel control. Battery life is short, but similar to other smaller drones. It's tough, as I have hit a few objects, and only broken one propeller.
