The blade is dull on mine. Does anyone know where to get a replacement blade? I'd hate for this whole thing to go in the landfill.

Carissa, I suggest you look on line for replacement blades and if that fails, contact the manufacturer. Office supply stores or places like Hobby Lobby might carry replacement blades if they stock the cutter. It may be, too, that you can get the original blade sharpened. Good luck!

Does the handle stay up when you life it?

Yes, the handle of the X-Acto 12" Base Guillotine Paper Trimmer is supposed to stay up when you lift it.

Is there a way to get this to cut through corrugated cardboard, like Amazon boxes are made of, or would that be too thick for this?

X-ACTO 12" Guillotine Paper Trimmer has the capacity to cut 10 sheets of paper in one slide. If the box is the same thick to this, they can cut those.

is it possible to cut cardboard with this?

Yes it has a sharp blade that will cut through cardboard. Thanks!
