The Missing Manual rocks!
I picked up this book to fill in the blanks for MS Project 2010. It not only filled in the blanks, but created some new gaps and then filled those too! Learned things about MS Project in general I did not know.It may have a little too much - "How do you create and run a project" for more advanced users, but good overall book with lots of tips that you need many, many months of experience to find on your own.I highly recommend it for beginners and give it a 4 star for due to the additional project management information included that most advanced folks will find superfluous.

Just Technical Enough
My technical level in MS Project is self-taught and just good enough to set up the platform to create tasks in Project that flow to SharePoint and sync to Outlook. This book helped me plan a lot of the how to's as well as set up everything allowing column headers to sync, etc. I look forward to use this book when I begin using Project for resource utilization. This was a good purchase and I am going to keep ahold of this book for a long time as a point of reference.

Kindle is Poorly Done
It is very difficult to use the kindle version of this book as a reference for two reasons. First, there are no "real page numbers" so when it say go to page 149 to learn how to do something, you cannot. Second, there is no index, so if you want to look up how to use a "Finish-to-Start" task, you hope you can find it in the table of contents. If you have the Kindle version, the O'reilly website lets you pay another few bucks to get it as a PDF. The PDF is much-much easier to use.The content of this book is good, although the occasional joke/reference seems out of place. There are a few places where the author says "do this", but there aren't any real steps to follow.

This humorous and effective reference is an excellent balance to the technically dry presentation in the Microsoft manual. Better yet, Ms. Biafore answers emails and provided excellent guidance. I have recommended this to several co-workers in our DoD program office environment. I have the hard copy and the Kindle version...Kindle so I can zoom the text for my old eyes, the hard copy for quick flipping and lending out (yes, I keep track of where it goes; I want it back!)

Microsoft Project 2010: The Missing Manual
Easy reading, very detailed in coverage and with referenced page numbers for additional information; a complete overview of MS Project. The staged development (chapters) of the book was particularly well organized. The first two chapters tied in the project management concepts very nicely with the use of the software program. A good buy.

Down to Earth Writer
This book details areas of construction scheduling that most do not. It isn't just about the program, but the actual process. The author uses real life terms and includes a bit of humor to make a point.

A very useful guide
For several years I have used Microsoft Project 2003, 2007, and more recently 2010. This guide is comprehensive, easy to read, and well structured. Recommended.
