June 16, 2020I just received this grinder today after many days wondering if I made the right choice during the shipping period. I can say that this was a good choice...I price is affordable. The craftsmanship and durability are great at this price point. I have worked as an electrician in construction for over 25 years and think this is "built" well.The downsideThe motor and cord are not of the highest quality, that being said. There is nothing wrong with them.Now let's talk about the shipper. I will not mention the delivery company as the seller knows who they used. They get ZERO STARS........The guy who delivered this said the company requires the seller to package the items shipped to be able to withstand a 6 foot drop.....It looks like they tested the packaging at this height as well. I took multiple photos as I unpacked the boxes. The only true damage that I found was to the motor shroud. This only consist of 3 small bolts and straightening of the shroud. Cosmetic damage to the large wheel. I have tested all items and have found the product to be functioning beautifully. No vibration at all just sitting on my work table.If you want/need a 2x72 grinder and don't have a lot to spend. BUY THIS ONE....

THE GOOD: The product is solid, functions well, very little vibration. Overall seems like a great value. Very heavy duty construction, this thing is as solid as you could hope, and the 3 attachments are all awesome.It does fit 2x72 belts, which was the hope for me, and the 2HP motor is amazing. Everything about the frame itself was built very well and this is the cheapest 2x72 grinder setup you'll find, even before considering the additional attachments.Very happy with the purchase.THE BAD: The bearings do seem to heat up after some use extended use, I'm going to try to lubricate them more and see if the problem resolves.Shipping/Product... One previous reviewer mentioned a shipping issue, and mine had the exact same issue: The only true damage that I found was to the motor shroud. This only consist of 3 small bolts and straightening of the shroud. This leads me to believe perhaps this is from a batch of damaged grinders as a whole, and not a coincidence that of 4 review (at the time of writing, we both happened to have identical shipping damage.Also consistent, the cord on this thing is very cheap, but functional. I intend to replace with a variable speed control in the future so no issues with this from me.

This is does not have a speed control and it impossible to set the tracking before the belt shoots off. I got it half on a few times and after 10 secs it trips the 20 amp breaker.I tried to send it back and I have to pay the return shipping on a very dangerous and useless machine.It seems to be built heavy which I thought would be great until I find that it can't be used and I have to pay to ship this hunk of useless metal back.When I got it one of the boxes was missing a skid which makes me think this machine has been sent back more than once.There is ZERO customer service. They know this doesn't work and know that most people won't pay the $175 to ship it back.There is nobody to talk to so that maybe you can fix it instead of sending it back.There is absolutely no tech support or customer service.In the end Amazon stepped in and made it right. Thanks Amazon. They have really got your back in these situations.

I am certain the one-star reviews have experienced unpleasant issues.I bought this grinder and had delivery issues, damaged parts, and could not get any response for customer support. In the end, AMAZON (not the seller) MADE EVERYTHING RIGHT.As far as the grinder, once the repairs were made, it is a decent, heavy built grinder.Mine was NOT variable speed. Did NOT come with an on/off switch (plug and unplug out of the box). Motor is very slow to come to speed and is a bit weak once achieving full speed.I have owned this grinder for a couple of years now and over-all, I am happy with the grinder. It performs well (not great with the weak motor). There have been no failures of parts since the purchase. I repaired/replaced the broken items and added a magnetic on/off switch.There is no comparison to my 8-inch bench grinder. This grinder will definitely hog the metal off!

I just finished setting up my belt grinder. Added a water mist system, LED work-light, air blow gun, did the 2x72 mod, remote speed and direction controls, catch bucket gimbal and bucket and built a custom cart with cast concrete weighted base and locking 6" castors. Price point is great and the machine works superb, all belt wheels are superbly balanced and there's zero vibration when running. A very versatile and powerful grinder indeed and a valuable asset in my workshop. Next, I'm building me a ceramic glass platen.

Well it's an OK product for the money there isn't an on/off switch. The belt tension handle was broken. The fan shroud was bet in and hitting the fan. All in all its an ok machine for the money but the shipping leaves something to be desired and the customer service suuuuuucks
