This clear 3DS XL case fits perfectly and feels really sturdy. It goes on easily, but once it’s on, it feels secure and doesn’t slip around or feel loose. I mainly wanted something to protect my DS from everyday scratches and wear, especially if I’m carrying it around or setting it down on different surfaces, and this definitely gives me peace of mind. I also love that it’s clear because it doesn’t take away from the look of the system. I decorated mine with stickers to make it cuter, and the case is perfect for that, it lets the stickers show while still keeping everything protected. Overall, it feels like a simple but really worthwhile purchase if you want protection without a bulky case. I definitely recommend it!

This is a case for the NEW 3DS XL. It will NOT fit other versions as they are different sizes, and have a different layout for the ports (charging, game carriage, stylus, headphone). For those saying "it doesn't fit," I looked into which 3DS they had (one review mentions the 2DS, other mentions the 3DS XL) It ONLY fits the NEW 3DS XL, just like the kind I have and can be seen in my photos. If there is an additional thumbstick in the upper right corner than that is a good indication that is is the NEW 3DS. It will NOT fit the 3DS XL either, as there are slight differences in the systems with regards to where the ports for everything are. I got the crystal clear as I wanted the SNES look of my 3DS to show. installation is not difficult, though understand you may need to apply a bit more pressure than you think at first, for fear of the case cracking. It didn't crack on me, and can also be removed if needed (I had to access the micro SD card after putting the case on, and I was able to detach and reset it without any issues). It does not interfere with the hinges, nor the any of the buttons. The hinge less design, in my opinion, is ideal as it is one less thing that can break. It also keeps the case slim, and will still fit in a carrying case without the need to get a new one as it doesn't make the system too bulky at all. The only down side is not due to the case, but due to the design of the New 3DS XL. The only access to the micro SD card is by taking out the two screws on the back and opening it up. The case here covers the back, and would have to be removed in order to access the micro SD. However, if you do not frequently need to access the card, then this is a non issue. Overall, this is a GREAT case if you want to protect against scratches and small drops, and still want your DS theme image to show (like the SNES one). If you are looking to get one, just make sure that you have the correct model 3DS XL. I plan on ordering a second one for my son's 3DS so his Pikachu case image shows, and can have some protection against it becoming scratched or damaged.

Hori N3DS XL cases have basically been lost media for the longest time. I bought this case so I could put it over a skin wrap I purchased. It fits nicely over the wrap, but it holds on to the sides of the 3ds very tightly and I even noticed some chipping when removing it. If you buy this, I would recommend that you don't remove it often and load up your SD card prior so that you can minimize removal of the case. It's scratch resistant and thick but not too thick, offering better protection.

The top and bottom shells of the new 3ds xl are very scratch and peel prone. This case helps to protect it from the elements while still giving you a clear view of the outside of your system! My new 3ds xl has zero scratches on it (which I was super surprised with when I got it recently) so I wanted a minimalistic and great value case that I could get to keep that pristine look, and this is the case that I went with. It's made of a clear hard plastic, you have to apply some pressure to get it to snap on the system, but once it's on it's not going anywhere. Very happy with my purchase!

It will protect your New 3DS XL from small falls and scratches (mine is already a little banged up, but better late than never), and it snaps on with these little hinges around the edges so it's not going to slip off. I decided to opt for a clear case to replace my old sanrio one so I can place whatever stickers underneath it and show off the color of my New 3DS XL. I'm glad I got this one, it's really nice and shiny and fits perfectly. It doesn't get in the way of my buttons or anything and doesn't have sharp corners like my old one. It seems pretty thick too but it's not so thick that you'll have a hard time removing it or putting it on.
