A high quality tool that upgrades most torque wrenches out there
This torque wrench is awesome, made rebuilding a Subaru engine so much easier. For any application requiring torque to angle specs this wrench makes it a breeze. The controls are simple to learn and will have you up and running in minutes. It is a robust design and the flex head is wonderful in tight spaces. I originally wanted the 3/8 size but hard a hard time finding one so I got the bigger 1/2. I just use my old torque wrench for settings less than 20 ft lbs. It being a precision instrument with electronics I would say keep it dry and in a good environment to make it last for years. Also take out the batteries if left unused for a long time as a leaking battery could cause damage.

More than worth it.
It’s well worth more than the $200 price tag just for the angle and flex head features. I purchased the 1/2 model, and it’s long, but not awkward. It lets you reset while still retaining the current angle, it’s perfect for inside engine bays that will not would allow you to get one pull of 90 degrees, or so. You can do multiple pulls, and it adds then saves them even when hitting the bolt from different angles. I scribed all my bolts, and purposely put this tool in awkward situations. All my bolts are dead on at a final pass of 70 degrees. Has a ton of alerts and a very accurate LCD to let you know where the degree is. Handle vibrates, the screen flashes, and the buzzer is very noticeable. Compared to my snap on, this is light years ahead. Also I bought the non-flex head model, while it wasn’t bad, I could never recommend it when this is only $50 more. That doesn’t do angles.

It works/ but it’s different!
There are a lot of complaints about this tool, is accurate, yes. Most of the complaints that I have seen is user error. First of all, if you are a person that is used to the click style torque bar, you will struggle in the beginning like I did ,just like anything new. You will have to get use to timing the sound/vibration vs the click. It has 2 different vibrations/ sounds , one lets you know you are with in tolerance range( whatever you set the percentage at) the second round of beeps/ vibrates is when you hit your target ( note when it signals you that you have hit your target, you actually 2-5%from your target, this’ keeps you from going over) take a look at the screen & finish the last remaining % , then hit the clear button & go to the next bolt. If you want accuracy this is your tool, if you like speed the click style is for you I’m pretty fast with both, I had to practice. Whether you go click vs digital, they are both two different type of tools.

Constantly crashes during torque readings
This thing is the worst torque wrench I’ve ever used. After setting the desired peak torque value, I always have issues with the electronics crashing. In essence, if I tighten until the notification and move to the next measurement or attempt to clear the current measurement (e.g. when tightening lug nuts), the electronics will randomly crash. This is bizarre because this is the expected use-case… When this happens, the power button does nothing and I have to unscrew and re-screw the battery cap to get it to turn on again. The only way I’ve found to avoid this issue is to wait ~10s between measurements. That is just crazy because it slows down what is normally a mindless and instantaneous process with every other torque wrench I’ve used. Because of this crashing issue, I don’t even bother using this piece of junk anymore. A normal 2 minute task easily turns into 10+ minutes of fighting with the torque wrench electronics when they decide to act up. Not to mention that Gearwrench does not stand behind this product considering they only provide a 1yr warranty. I didn’t realize this until the return period passed and I started seeing the issues I mentioned. I watched many videos, followed the directions, and attempted to troubleshoot via forums and nothing I’ve done has resolved the problem. At this point, I’m very confident that this is not user error. Gearwrench simply released an awesome torque wrench with electronics that are a buggy and unusable mess. I loved this thing until those reset issues, what a shame. Trust me, do NOT purchase this product!

Nice and shiny
Its got a nice feel, seems accurate. But the description made it seem like the handle telescopes. It does not. And you have to hold the power button excessively long. When doing angles, the reset is very slow unless you hit clear between readings. Fast resetting when doing torque. lots of options on different units of torque. I wish it went a little lower and higher, but then just gotta break out the 3/4 or 3/8 torque wrench. Not quite as good as snap on but a lot cheaper

Well made and worth the investment.
This is a well made tool and I have used it on several projects around the house. I've been pleased with the way it works. I recommend it.

No defined alert to let u know u hit ur target torque
Owed about a year. Seems to be solid build and good quality. But I wouldn't buy it again and may be looking for something else to add to the arsenal. It has the ability to dial in ur torque plus adding angle or degree as well. It's all fine and dandy if u can see the screen. When working off ur back and in awkward positions where u can't see the screen it's less than desirable. The lowest I can set the notification is within 20 percent of target torque. Thing start vibrating and flashing colors and vibrates a little more as u get closer to your target but so easy to over torque if u can't see the see the screen. It would be better if it had a defined beep when u hit the target torque when in situation where u can't see the screen. Which maybe it's just too nice of torque wrench for situations I use it for like in a wheel well and the screen is complete 180 from what I'm trying to torque. One other annoyances is the setting the torque being by tenths. U hold the button down and I over shoot by a couple lbs then end up pushing the button 20 times to drop or gain 2lbs. I think it's accurate and if your using it in situations where u can always seen the screen it's great. For an all around 1/2 inch for a backyard mechanic like myself it's been more of a hassel then not. If it had a defined alert when u hit ur target torque it would be much better in my opinion.

Great for the price
Works great. Didn't want to get a fancy digital one until I knew i liked it. This one seems accurate. The only thing I noticed when doing angles is its only accurate on the first set, but I was close to maxing it out so it might not off liked it

Nice bit of kit
The reviews on this are a bit mixed but I’ve got other gearwench tools and I was looking for a good quality digital wrench that didn’t break the bank so thought I would give it a go. I live in the UK and the selection of digital wrench’s is either cheap unbranded, low quality brand with not many features or very very expensive. So this ticked all the boxes and it has angle. I’m using it in a professional manner but not every day so I need it to be as accurate as possible. It works extremely well. It’s accurate, easy to understand and after a little reading of the instructions is easy to use. The calibration certificate was also very recent and in date (three months ago). I’m in my 30’s and can work it out but I can understand some people might find it confusing compared to traditional wrenches but it definitely more accurate. I’d recommend storing it in a dry, temperate environment where it can’t get knocked with batteries removed and relatively clean. Will update if I have any issues over next months, if not the 3/8 and 1/4 will be ordered.

Flex Head Electronic Torque Wrench with Angle
I haven’t had a chance to use it much, just a few times, but the torque wrench seems very well built. It has a sleek design with a flexible head, which looks extremely convenient. The 120-tooth mechanism is unique, and considering the quality, the price seems very reasonable. I believe it does the same job as a Snap-on torque wrench, which costs twice as much. I’m considering buying the smaller version for working on water pumps and head gaskets.

Doesn’t notify at peak torque.
Core Shias 1 star review is so accurate. This thing vibrates not stop when you’re getting close and you can never hit your torque target. Goes way over or under no matter the pressure you apply. Doesn’t notify you when you reach your torque target. Maybe I got a bad item looks to be a return I got sent. Hoping my replacement will fix this. If this review is up I sent it back again and it’s just a poor design. Compared to the 3/8 my 1/2 is a complete dud. 3/8 seems good, functionality much better than this. Bought both brand new. Just pay the extra dollar for the Snapon. Coworkers are fantastic. Oh also the lcd is hard to see without looking straight on.
