Lucid® L150 Adjustable Bed Frame – Head & Foot – Wireless Remote, Queen

There aren’t enough stars ⭐ for this review that reflect how much I like this bed. There are a few suggestions that I have for my situation, but none of them are even close to being a deal-breaker. I had been sleeping on a traditional flat bed with an incline/wedge pillow to avoid reflux issues at night. However, when asleep, I would slide off the pillow and invariably suffer the reflux issues anyway. With the ability to elevate the entire head of the bed I no longer have that problem. There were a few other reviews of this bed, here on Amazon and YouTube, that criticized the noise of the massage motors. I don’t have that problem and I suspect those comments were made about the bed without a mattress. With my mattress I have no noise issues at all. I do want to comment about the massage modes. The manual states that there are only three modes, but I suspect there are more. The modes on my bed seems to have (1) continuous, (2) slowly on/off intermittent, (3) faster on/off intermittent, and (4) soft to strong variable. ADDITIONALLY, when I press the massage button on the remote a second time, I have the same four modes at a noticeably stronger level. To me that is eight modes (nine, if you count “off” as a mode 😉). The manual also cautions to not run the massage motors longer than 30 minutes without a 30 minute cool-down period. The remote allows you to select 10, 20, or 30 minutes. For me that has not been an issue as the massage vibration is quite comfortable, soothing, and sleep inducing. I usually run it for only 10 minutes and there’s only a few times that I’ve still been awake when it timed itself off. I discovered a minor issue when using this bed with my existing bedroom furniture. I found that it was inconvenient to turn on/off/dim the lights on the light bar when the head of the bed was elevated. I tried to illustrate this in the pictures that I’m posting; using a Christmas bow to show where the light control used to be located. You can see that it’s an easy reach with the bed flat, but rather difficult when the head of the bed is elevated. A simple remote control for the lights solved that issue for me. This wasn’t mentioned in the manual, but I noticed a pocket on the adjustable bed frame that (I assume) was for easy storage and access of the bed’s remote control. For me that was somewhat awkward, but easily solved with an armchair remote control/cell phone holder as the pictures illustrate. Of course I do have suggestions for the R&D people at Lucid. I wish that the button back-lights on the remote control would automagically turn on when I grab it a night, similar to the way smart-phones turn on when you pick them up. It would also be nice if the underbed night lights would stay on a little longer (for those of us that are a bit slower on our night-time bathroom trips ☹️). I was pleasantly surprised to find that the USB ports on each side of the bed have both the USB-A and USB-C connections. There are other reviews that cover the ease of assembly and installation. You do need at least two people (with muscles). So far I am extremely pleased with this bed frame, and bet that you will be too.

I was directed by my doctor fairly recently to get an adjustable bed. I recently learned that adjustable bases do not have to cost an arm and a leg. Stores over-charge for bases by about a 400% to 900% markup. For example: A similar base to the Lucid L600 in one of my local bed shops costs about $2300 in a twin XL and doesn't include voice control! I bought the Lucid L600 adjustable base (Twin XL size) around April 5, 2021. I had been researching adjustable bases for 2 months prior, before landing on the L600. Everyone knows that most adjustable bases are made in China with the same cheap metal, etc. The Lucid bases are made in Taiwan, but similar care should be taken. If that gives you pause, consider that many makes of the true high end Audiophile gear are also made in Taiwan, not to mention China either partially or on the whole. That said, there is a distinct advantage to going with a Lucid base, I will get to momentarily. Lucid, offers 5 levels of adjustable bases: The L100, L150, L300, Advanced and L600 The L600 is their top model. All bases come with fixed height legs, but you can purchase adjustable ones through Lucid or Amazon if needed. What makes the Lucid L600, L300 and Advanced stand out? For starters, it is the warranty. The standard warranty on adjustable bases of almost any other make is 1-year Limited just for the frame, the motors and other parts are not covered! Lucid offers a 10-year Limited warranty on the L600, L300 and Advanced models. This is almost unheard of in this industry! Lucid's warranty breaks down this way: YEARS 1-3: Warranty covers defects in the workmanship or materials for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase. Lucid® will send replacement parts for any defective part to the purchaser, and Lucid® will pay all authorized labor and transportation costs associated with the repair or replacement of any parts. YEARS 4-10: During the years four (4) through ten (10) from the date of purchase, Lucid® will offer replacement parts for any defective mechanical part. Purchaser shall pay 1/7th of the replacement cost of the defective part multiplied by the number of years since three (3) years after the warranty commencement date and Lucid® shall bear the remainder of the cost of the replacement part. The purchaser shall bear all labor and shipping costs associated with repair or replacement of the defective part(s). An exception to this is the metal frame, which is covered in full for the duration of the 10 year warranty. On top of that though is the customer support Lucid offers that has to be experienced to be believed! I can't effectively describe it, you have to experience it. I had spoken with reps at Lucid several times before purchasing the L600 and every time they answered the phone within two rings and more importantly, they are the friendliest and most helpful folks! They treat their customers like family. They have no hesitation or endless red tape to deal with regarding warranty or repair or any other issues with their customers. The customer service manager told me that they like to give the benefit of doubt to their customers should a warranty or repair issue occur instead of just throwing the customer under the bus automatically. It is unheard of to get this kind of warranty and support on a product like this. You may purchase products from the Lucid website and you are taken to Amazon to complete the purchase in most cases. Lucid has exclusive contracts with Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair. The L600 (as with all their bases) is easy to assemble. If you have a partner to help, assembly takes about 10 minutes. TIPS: The hardest part of assembling the base is flipping it onto its feet. The twin XL size is 100 pounds. This is why two people are recommended in assembly. Be careful NOT to lean it on its side using the legs as leverage to flip the base over! This increases the chance of either bending or breaking the leg bolts or a frame weld. If you don't have a partner to help, you can assemble it from beneath: look further in the customer comments on Amazon for how to do it. I also recommend that you use furniture sliders under the legs if you want to move the bed for any reason after assembly. Put one under each leg. Get the plastic ones for carpet and felt ones for hard floors. These can be had on the cheap. On any adjustable base I have heard a number of times about people going to move the bed a couple of inches and wind up bending or breaking a leg bolt or a weld due to too much pressure in one direction. This is true of any brand base. Pros (or what I like): Excellent customer support 10 year limited warranty High quality Okin motors with smooth, perfect speed operation, not too fast or slow. 18 button remote with clearly marked buttons including one programmable button and presets can also be reprogrammed by the end user! Backlit remote Android and iOS apps for more customization USB ports Under bed lighting Three strength and multi-mode massage Voice control (Siri only at this time, but Alexa ability is currently in the works and will be free for all owners when released) Cons: (Nothing is perfect so let's look at the caveats): While the remote is backlit it only comes on when you have pressed a button. Finding the correct button in the dark is impossible. Too bad the backlight on the remote does not activate with movement. The only other caveat is that there is no separate massage strength button, one just hits the head or foot massage button again to cycle through the strength. The "Mode" button cycles through the different massage modes. This is not that big a deal though, just something to note. Overall, the caveats hardly take away from the greatness of the product and with support like Lucid offers there is no reason not to consider an adjustable base from this company. Last tip: If you want to get the L600, L300 or the like, I highly suggest avoiding Wayfair at the moment. You are far better off going through the Lucid website or direct through Amazon or even Walmart. I recommend the Lucid/ Amazon route. You don't have to just take my word for it. If you are looking at getting an adjustable base (they also have mattresses and other bedding items) and have some questions, technical or otherwise. Go ahead and contact the good folks at Lucid and experience it for yourself!

My wife and I bought two twin XL adjustable bed bases for a split king setup. Given that I was not familiar with LUCID, my two biggest concerns when buying the bases were obviously product quality and the availability of customer service. First, regarding quality, the bases are solid and well put together. They were also incredibly easy to setup -- the hardest part was probably getting them upstairs as they are a bit heavy. That being said, I was able to get them upstairs myself and I am not a model of fitness. The bases are also very easy to use. Both my wife and I have found a number of preferred settings that we enjoy. On that note, the memory function lets you store one preferred setting for quick recall. The two USB plugs are also a nice touch for charging your devices if you happen to be tight on open outlets. Second, with respect to customer service, I am extremely impressed with the level of customer service provided by LUCID. I developed an issue with one of our two bases after a few months of use where it became unresponsive, would make a clicking noise, and would lower itself to the flat position during the course of the night. I tried troubleshooting to no avail, so I contacted customer service via email on Christmas day. I wasn't expecting a prompt response given the holiday period, but I got an email response the very next day. After providing some more details, they diagnosed the issue and promptly mailed a replacement part at no cost which resolved the issue completely. LUCID also sent a couple of follow up emails to confirm that my issue was resolved. I would not hesitate to do business with LUCID again. Conclusion, the LUCID bases represent an amazing value and they are backed by stellar customer service. Based on the low cost and the great reviews, I initially thought that these adjustable bases must be too good to be true, but I was wrong -- they are truly that good. My wife and I both sleep so much better (and, as an added bonus, my wife also utilizes the adjustable base when nursing our newborn in the middle of the night). If you're looking for an adjustable base without all the bells and whistles (and the exorbitant price tag that goes with those bells and whistles) look no further than LUCID.

Let me start with this is my first adjustable bed frame. I bought it for a family member whom moved in with me that has a leg injury that requires surgery, so for now she needs to elevate her leg when laying down. I purchased it with Amazon premium delivery + setup. They arrived on time on the date selected and setup the unit with no issues and cleaned up after themselves. I paired this unit with a Dormeo Remedy bed also bought from Amazon. The bed frame adjusts as advertised, the one advertised feature which in my opinion doesnt work is the massage feature. Its nothing more than a vibrator. I'm 6' tall so from head to toe I'm an exact fit for the full size bed. When I activate the head massage I feel the vibration below my shoulder blades in height but off to the sides of my body and when I change the massage mode for the head setting it goes from there to my head. It's not a massage, just a vibration. For the leg setting its more useless, the different modes are either at the very tip of the bottom of the bed or about at my ankles and the vibration is weak even at full power. One thing to note about the vibration strength is the bed it's paired with is full foam and uses a proprietary foam coil system so it may be absorbing alot of the energy. In my opinion for the price its an good adjustable bed frame even if you subtract the massage feature. I'm going to see how well it holds up over the next 30 days and I'm considering buying another one for myself. Update 9/7/2024 This unit has been used everyday since I purchased it and it's still working like new. The massage feature is still useless though LOL If your considering this product, I'd recommend it.

This review is for the Lucid split king adjustable bed base. The bed is well made and the head/foot base adjustments are very smooth. I paired the base with the Lucid 12" latex mattresses which are quite comfortable. The bed is currently being used by a family friend and she loves it! I slept soundly on it for one night to be sure it was a decent mattress. The mattress does need to be aired out for a few days to eliminate the latex odor but it eventually goes away. Base assembly is straightforward. I was able to do it alone although they advise two adults. The base is fairly heavy so two adults are recommended. A hand truck is very helpful for moving from point A to B. The most challenging part of installation for me was to enclose the platforms with the bed frame. You can easily go without a frame but our headboard needs a frame for stability. If you have a wooden frame that takes screws for assembly - tightening up that last side panel can be very difficult if the base obstructs the screw locations for your frame as it did ours. I was able to do it but it was very difficult. If I had to do it over, I might try to assemble the frame first and then tip it up on one side while I assembled the base platforms in place. Then tip the frame back down and over the base. Poor planning on my part. We had one issue crop up with one of the adjustable platforms after about 18 months. The foot motor gave out wouldn't lower the platform on one base. I called their support line and they helped me diagnose it down to the foot motor. They shipped me out new foot motor assembly under warranty and it arrived in two days! Replacement was really simple - it's a modular assembly so don't need any special tools. The bed is working good as new again! Excellent customer service! The warranty offered with the bed I purchased is 10 years limited. Lucid covers cost and shipping for defective parts during years 1-3. During years 4-10, customer pays a fraction of the cost based on a graduated scale where the fraction increases each year of ownership. So far working out great for us!

2 YEAR UPDATE ON LUCID L150 BED BASE: I have owned this bed base for 2 years and I am still EXTREMELY HAPPY with it. If you have health or back issues this bed is a must have! It has performed flawlessly, even while being bounced down the road in the rear of my Airstream Travel Trailer. The only issue I have encountered was when I changed the batteries in the remote and I needed assistance from the company in order to re-pair the remote. This bed has given me 730 GREAT nights of sleep as well as numerous days and evenings of reading, watching TV or web surfing on the computer. You may be thinking: Should I buy this bed? Would I buy it again? Is it worth the price? YES, YES, YES!!! Additionally, I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Lucid for making such a great product and for selling it at such an affordable price! Buy it - you won’t be disappointed! ORIGINAL POST: I purchased the Lucid L150 Bed Base in April, 2020. It has performed flawlessly until it didn’t. I read the manual, changed the batteries in the remote, but the bed still would not work. I called the Lucid Company and within minutes, they had walked me through a procedure to pair the remote (single remote) to the bed! It would have been nice if this procedure had been in the trouble shooting section of the Owner’s Manual but it wasn’t. (I did find it later in the manual but it wasn’t in the trouble shooting section). If your bed ever quits working and you have changed the batteries, be aware that the remote may not work until the remote is paired with the bed again. The procedure to re-pair the remote to the bed is as follows: 1. Unplug the bed. 2. Place the remote on a hard surface and hold down the head up and feet up buttons at the same time. Keep holding the two buttons while you then plug in the bed again. 3. Continue holding down the buttons after the bed is plugged back in. When the bed makes a series of “beeps” continue to hold the buttons down for another 10-15 seconds. 4. After 10-15 seconds, release the head up and feet up buttons and your remote should now be paired. For anyone wondering if this bed is worth the money - IT IS!!!! I installed it in my Airstream Travel Trailer and it has been many miles and I have had many blissful nights of sleep. I would definitely recommend this bed for anyone wanting an adjustable bed. It actually works better and quieter than the bed I have in my house that cost several thousand dollars! Además, me di cuenta de que estas bases se ven idénticas al sistema de Sealy, pero tienen mejores funciones. Por ejemplo, compré dos individuales gemelas Xl para formar un King Size tamaño California y se pueden emparejar con un solo control para que funcionen coordinadas al mismo tiempo. Es muy cómodo tener una cama de posiciones que se maneja a control remoto. El control incluye una lámpara para la noche, los controles de inclinación y cabeza y memorias, una para regresarla a plana y otra para tu posición favorita, junto con los colchones de Lucid queda perfecto. LUCID L150 Bed Base – Upholstered Frame – Head and Foot Incline – Wireless Remote Control Adjustable, Twin XL. OK, so it's not a top-of-the-line item at this price, but I've found with a more expensive adjustable bed that the bells and whistles are not really necessary. The cheaper-looking upholstery on this model is hidden by bedding. The fabric on top is smooth, so mattresses may move sideways a little - but also are easily pushed back into place. The support at the foot of the bed prevents the mattress from moving down. The main consideration is that it works and makes life so much easier. (When changing sheets you can raise the head and the foot, and save bending!) For invalids or for those physically compromised it offers considerable comfort and convenience. People ask whether a 75" regular length twin mattress can be used on a twin XL frame. After the mattress slides down to the foot, until stopped by the bracket, the regular 75" length leaves a 5" gap at the top. This might not be a problem as the gap is under the pillow. Your head may not be over this point unless you are sitting upright, when the mattress is flexed and functionally shorter. Assembly consists of connecting the power supply, pairing the remote and adding the legs. That's it. The package is very heavy (starting at 102lb twin size). To take it up or down stairs more easily it could be disassembled, laid out top-down on a flat surface: - The bed consists of two parts, joined with two bolts that can be removed for transporting. - The electrical jacks shared across the two parts are easily identifiable for reconnecting. - Before taking anything apart, it might be wise to unpack the remote, and plug in the mains connection to test that the pistons work to elevate and lower each end. - Page 14 of the manufacturer's instructions shows how to pair the remote with the bed. If it doesn't live up to reasonable expectations for a reasonable time, I'll post an update. * Now over 2 years, and it's still good. No regrets at all. .

These beds are great! The massage feature is so good, 4 different modes & around 7 levels of intensity (just keep pressing the head/feet buttons for more power if needed) Love that you can change the pre-programmed position settings as well as add an additional setting for the memory button. (Although zero gravity is heaven, so definitely not changing that!) Also love the usb ports & soft underbed lights. Option to sync is fantastic as we did not want 2 separate mattresses, so purchased 2 twin xl bases & a kingsize memory foam mattress & synced the bases (so easy, just plug the included sync cable into both beds) Best purchase we have made, very happy & getting the best sleep. Wish we'd bought them years ago!

bought the L300 king bed set (2 twin xl with 12" hybrid mattresses) and as others have said the bases are fairly heavy needs 2 people - we opened the boxes on front porch and removed the power supply, legs etc and unfolded it was a lot easier to carry between us both than just boxed. once upstairs it only took a few mins to setup pairing was easy once i found the button (right near power supply box). the great thing about this order was the staggering of items. the mattresses arrived 2 days before bases so they got a chance to expand before setup in a spare room. the beds are very comfortable and so far were both loving the options of feet and head movement. only minor niggle - advertisement said adjustable legs and ours were fixed length (not an issue for us with 12" mattress, but might be if you have a taller one

This arrived in a manageable package, and was easy to assemble although I recommend 2-3 people for the flip from assembly to right side up, not 1-2 as they suggest. It is working well, easy to use the remote, it only took about an hour to put it together including time waiting for another body to flip it.
