Amazon Basics 3-Piece Aviation Snip Set for Metal Cutting with Comfort Grips, Left, Right and Straight Cut

I purchased these Amazon Basics Straight Cut Aviation Snips for a rather unusual but necessary task: cutting up a metal credit card that my credit card company wouldn't take back for destruction. Regular scissors were completely ineffective, but these snips made quick work of the card, cutting through the thin metal effortlessly. The snips are very comfortable to hold in hand, and they felt sturdy and capable as I cut. The cuts were clean, and the blades are, as expected, very sharp. While I doubt I'll have frequent use for them, their durable feel suggests they would hold up well if I did. For the cheap price, these snips did exactly what I needed them to do. They're a great tool to have on hand for those unexpected jobs that require more cutting power than standard scissors.

try buying these in DP or that low place - they are like $40 for the set and it is literally the same tools! - These things are sharp, will cut anything and work great - So I came home early from work the other day - i heard some racket in the back room - my girl friend was naked and had been working on her Christmas Costume with Zip ties - she was down on all fours with her hands zip tied behind her back- i was a little confused at first, the zip toes were really tight on her wrist, and she had a second tie around her ankles... after using these snips to cleanly and safely cut her free she explained that she was trying to build a new alien synthetic costume for an up coming Christmas pub crawl - she gotta little carried away and strapped herself up- still dont know why the window was open and the screen blown out but I am just happy i had these awesome snips to cut her free

These are very well made and sturdy, WELL worth the money. I subtracted a star because they didn't do what I bought them for, to cut a bra wire that's too high and pokes me. Only after getting on the floor and leaning on them, did they work. To be fair, I think this bra wire was forged in the fires of Mount Doom. What the hell, lol.

Surprisingly heavy duty snips. Very easy to use. They cut accurately and with little effort.

Love these aviation snips. They are a good size, fit & finish, and cuts nicely. I especially like the type of steel they are made from.

Pretty sturdily snips, easy to cut up 1/8 aluminum strips. On photo I cut 1/16 strips They fit comfortably in the hand and don't bend the metal when cutting. The blade was sharp right out of the box; I didn't have to tighten the bolt or sharpen the scissors. It says they are made of a chromium and vanadium alloy. I hope that's true. After use, I lubricated them with WD-40 just in case. They cut cleanly straight, without burrs. They're practically the same as Stanley snips, but cheaper, which is why I chose them.

The Amazon Basics aviation snip set is surprisingly solid for the price. Each pair (straight, left, and right cut) feels sturdy, cuts sheet metal cleanly, and the grips are comfortable for extended use. I’ve already used them on ductwork and aluminum trim with no problem. A great budget-friendly set that performs like more expensive brands.

Preis Leistung ist wirklich sehr gut, wer zuhause ab und an mal blech arbeiten machen muss ist diese Schere hervorragend. Ich kann es nur empfehlen

Buenas. Bonitas y. Baratas. Hasta ahora las he sentido cómodas, y fáciles de manejar. Cortan bien y sin complicaciones. Además no hay que poner tanta fuerza como las clásicas.
