Moroccanoil Colour Depositing Mask

This is my product of the year. I’m naturally dark brunette and decided to let my grey grow in. I’ve about 1/3 grey in the front of my hair. My hair was butchered in a grey blending disaster. While the colour does not cover grey completely, it mutes to a more charcoal Colour which the hairdresser couldn’t achieve. I top up my colour every 2-3 weeks & leave in for 30 mins or so. I’ve not experienced any colour transfer like other users. Bought multiple times already

I was almost afraid to try this because hairdressers scare us off box dye so much, but this feels completely different. My hair goes brassy fast (thanks to hard city water), and I hate overdoing salon toners because they dry it out. This mask has been a game-changer. The colour deposits evenly, tones down the brass, and left my hair feeling soft and healthy instead of stripped. I was shocked by how glossy it looked afterward and how much brass it actually covered - more like a conditioning treatment than just a dye. I only bought the small sample to test it, and it was enough for my long, thick hair. I’m already ordering the full bottle.

Getting first signs of grey and wanted to cover them or at least improve them. Didn’t do either. No colour deposited on my hair; on my scalp yes but not in my hair.

Good product. The health mask side of it is great for the hair but the colour side I would say isn’t as great as they say. From a hairstylists perspective also.

This mask is exactly what I've been looking for. I have very light brown/brassy hair and I wanted it just a shade darker to a more chocolate brown. Ive been experiencing some hair loss and scalp issues so hair dye is out of the question for me. I did a test piece and used the mask on dry hair, left for about 7 mins and its gone the exact shade that I wanted, plus my hair feels lovely and soft too. I've only washed my hair once but the color is still there. This is a small amount but it's perfect for trying before buying the full product which is quite expensive. Picture shows the difference in colour.

I have naturally mid brown hair that is untreated and not previouocoloures.I wanted something to add a little intensity and shine to my hair for a wedding. This smells great and made my hair feel nice but I didn't notice anything in the way of colour deposit. A nice conditioning mask. That's all.

This is absolutely amazing. I had used hair dye remover and the ends were bleached and greenish. I applied this on towel dried hair for 5 min and looks and feels amazing. I think it’s worth the price. I’m gutted I didn’t take a picture of the before.

I normally use another color depositing product that is also a lot cheaper compared to this incredibly small expensive baggie. It was not available in stock so I tried the Moroccanoil brand, that is the same exact cream concept of my usual brand. First of all, It's not a lot of product for the amount of hair i have, even if just below the shoulders in length. Secondly, the smell is nice but not that impressive, no "wow" i am in an "exotic wonderful country.. and its totally worth the price!" vibe. Lastly, despite leaving it on for a good 30 minutes, it did absolutely nothing. I am comparing this to my usual brand (that I will not mention) that not only offers 150ml for the same price (even less) of this miserable baggie, but it actually also frankly, works after just one usage. And no, it doesn't wash off after one shampoo. I expected much more from Moroccanoil, especially for this price.

I love this. I've been using it for years and can't believe I haven't reviewed it until now. I've gotten this small packet and the larger tube, and for some reason I think the small pouch works better. You do have to ignore the directions and leave it on for longer than 5-7 minutes. Damp hair is good, dry hair might be even better, but it is harder to "have enough" when the hair is dry, if you know what I mean. I usually do at least a half hour if not more like an hour. I'll put it on and do some housework/cleaning or whatever then shower to rinse it out. It does make the hair softer which I can attest to with this latest round. Before, I used to use it on my natural brunette hair, and it would give it some depth and oomph when I wanted to refresh. My natural cool light/medium brown lightens and goldens in the sun, especially here in SoCal. So this provides a great return to my roots, with a bit of a deeper/darker tone. This latest round using, I was attempting to remedy a salon balayage situation. I had gone to the hairdresser to get a specific look, not at all blonde. I had said I didn't want to be blonde, I didn't want to be yellow, and showed a picture to the stylist and made sure we were on the same page. Unfortunately, the processes she performed on my hair, made it super blonde, and even after toning it down twice, I did not leave with the hair I had explicitly asked for. Days later, looking in the mirror, I had mostly yellow blonde hair with dark roots. It looked like I had done a blonde process about 4 months ago, and my hair was tattered. I'd been dealing with insane snarls for the past month, feeling washed out every time I looked in the mirror, and overall lamenting my decision to drop hundreds of dollars at the salon for exactly what I didn't want. ANYWAY, all this to say that today, after trimming my hair (I don't think I'll pay for even a haircut for a while now) I applied a pouch of this mask, left it on for about an hour before rinsing it out, and I am loving the results. I can't seem to get a picture that does justice to the reality, but I'll share what I've got, nonetheless. The blonde highlights are still there, especially on the ends, but it's overall much more my style as I feel like a brunette and not a blonde again. I feel like myself. I apologize for not taking a before photo to show the difference. The color is wonderful, because it is not green toned, and it's not red toned. It is purple, neutral purple. It doesn't make hair magenta or anything. It's just a great brown. I personally need this purple tone, because green doesn't work, and red doesn't work. I'm actually confused on my coloring because I have purple veins and green eyes. I think that's why purple works for me, but I think purple can work for most being a neutral tone. If I had had two pouches to work with, I would've started with dry hair and left it on as long as possible. In any case, I am happy with the results and look forward to seeing how it fades as it washes out. It is temporary, but I'm fine with that. I'd rather have to reapply than lament another permanent process. Did I mention I can run my fingers through my hair for the first time in weeks? Amazing.

Me funciona perfecto. Matiza bonito. Café oscurito. Sí me cubre la cana pero porque además de ponerle generosamente y dejar reposar un rato, también la he puesto en seco y jala. Ojo: matiza, no tiñe. Lo mejor es que no maltrata el cabello. Amé.

Heel fijn product, haar voelt zachter en kleur is mooi
