The best contact sensor
This is the most well built contact sensor I have every used! It is appears to be well constructed, it is very small, so it allows for more options with regard to placement - the tab on the magnet can be removed to make it even smaller. It also has everything you need to mount it. Most importantly, it is very responsive; this is key when driving automations off of it. It paired very easily with Hubitat.

Great Door sensor for smartthings
I received the product and it paired right away with smartthings hub. I then tested open and close functions and it worked just great. I'm going to get a few more now that I have seen how small and light the product is. The led are hard to see which is my only issue with the sensor.UPDATE: Just received two more for the back door and door to the garage. Again no pairing issues with smartthings and work like a charm. Again I like the small size of these sensors. They are light so you can attach them with double sided tape. They claim a 5 year battery life so I'll update in a few months if that's not the case. The steps I followed were to unbox the sensor. Open up the case. Remove the plastic battery shim at which point the led light will come alive. I then followed the add open/close sensor in smart things and picked NYCE Door/Window sensor. It then said searching at which point I pressed the button on the sensor a couple of times and the message on my phone said found sensors and asked me to name it. After that I tested that it would show open and closed by bringing the magnet piece next to the sensor. I closed it up and applied double side tape that came with the sensor and stuck the sensor to the door and carefully placed the magnet to frame . So it was a very easy install.

These work great and were easy to install
I bought these after my Wyze contact sensor bridge died. They're a bit pricey but they work well and pair easily to my Hubitat Elevation hub. Compat size and I was able to using the existing Wyze magnets that are mortised into my door frames.

Excellent open/close sensors. Small installation foot print and works with SmartThings 2 Hub.
I have two of these sensors paired to my SmartThings v2 hub. Both sensors have worked flawlessly and report status of the door and window that I have them installed on instantly. In my house one of the sensors is approximately 30 feet from a repeater with one wall in between and the other is approximately 40+ feet from a repeater with 3 walls in between. I have had them installed for about 8 months and the batteries still read 68% and 75%. I don't believe I will get the 5 years of life out of the units but an hoping to get 1.5+ years. I will definitely be buying more units in the near future. One other note on installation that I haven't seen anyone else mention so far is that on the magnet piece there appears to be a break line. On both of my sensors I have broke off the back tab (which is used if you want to install using screws) and used the foam pads to install. This provides for a very small installation foot print.

Very Small Profile and works
I'm using this with my security system for an exterior door. I wanted something small and nu-noticeable and this fit the bill (about the size of a quarter). I've had it installed for about a month and so far it is working perfectly. I'm not sure how long the battery life is yet but will monitor. Using with Smart Things and a "Flush 1D Relay" to trigger my older "wired" security system input to monitor the position of the door.

Tiny sensor - big headaches
The sensor as described is quite small. Installation is a bit tricky as the illustrations show the casing/magnet alignment and not the whole unit (it would behoove NYCE to use arrows within the casing to indicate where the magnet contact should be facing).Since I use a Mac the software cannot be used but I was able to pair it to a Smartthings Hub after a few tries. Even though the sensor has only one button, it takes a combination of presses to get it to pairing mode. Once paired however, SmartThings constantly showed that the sensor was 'Open'. Even when I held the magnet to the sensor by hand 5 feet away from the ST hub. Regardless, I mounted it on the door and can hear the sensor emit a slight 'click' each time the magnet makes contact BUT SmartThings constantly shows the door is open. This cannot be a range issue as the behavior was the same when right in front of the hub. On the support section of the website, the Zigbee manual and Control4 manual are identical and only has an installation guide.I'm going to return it and try an Aeon Labs door sensor.

arrived broken
item arrived broken the metal hold down for the battery had popped off the main electronic board. It must have been a bad solder job. I could have sent it back, but for such a small item it wasn't worth the time or hassle to ship it back. Luckily im pretty handy and know my way around a soldering iron so instead of printing return labels, packaging and going to the post office :p I dug out my soldering iron and got to work. I resoldered it to the board and it works great. So I cant recommend it to the average consumer for durability reasons. If you dont mind taking a risk or having to make repairs then... its good. Otherwise I like the little unit its small and compact paired with ST well. I only ordered one to start with and will probably order more but we'll see.

Easy set up. Small.
Of all of the home automation devices I installed this was by far the easiest. Took about 2 minutes to work. Small and easy to use.
