Returned due to Midnite solar saying they do not warrant these products and the seller writing they are warranted when I purchased them. Need some more explanation on this point from the seller if one is going to purchase. Midnite did sell them direct for $250 at one point...perhaps those are covered...doubt these are. Beyond that a Classic 250 at 63amps is not the best choice for solar...normally the 150 at around 96amps is the better choice for under $600. 250 maxes out at around 1080 watts on a 12v system Classic 150 at close to 1600 watts. If you never ever want to expand your solar array or you have hydro or wind this might be a good deal. Me I have 100ah 12v lithium batteries which cannot be used in a 24v bank (some lithium batteries can)...plus I run 12v DC appliances and lighting. I might have kept this controller even with the warranty mistepresentation if I had 4 SIND 06 610s at 24v...but they weigh 220lbs a piece...but if you never move them again those batteries have similar cycle life to that of a lithium. Returned Classic 250 to Amazon unused and in perfect condition...
