Sofa Oversized Cover

Perfect fit! Looks great. Seems like it will hold up. One piece protector that tucks in nicely. Great price. Would recommend.

Ide like to start off by saying I like to buy stuff on Amazon just as much as the next guy. When I am looking for something on Amazon I like to read reviews, both good and bad in an effort to weed out garbage from decent products that are worth purchasing. I aim to provide honest feedback to help the next consumer do the same. I have a zoo I like to say, and this consists of 3 dogs of various age and size as well as 4 cats. We Don't ever keep our furniture in great condition due to claws and accidents. My 10 month old shihpoo is either intentionally peeing on my couch or just not wanting to tell us he has to go anymore. After a few accidents and trying to wash covers we decided we had to just purchase a replacement. Local thruft had a set half price we jumped on them. Now we have to protect them and turned to Amazon to find a solution to save them from certain death. After looking at many products of various prices I decided on this product, it arrived this morning. It is a taupe green although it looks more grey in the picture. Packaged in a clear zippered bag. Upon opening the material feels soft and the reverse has sticky paws to help prevent slipping. Overall it's not very thick but I'm not sure that's necessary unless your dog had really long thick nails, I imagine it could wear it out quicker. Fit is good it's got a smidge of excess to tuck into the crevice between the back and seat and armrest. The back overlarps behind the couch and utilezes a bungee type strap on each side for additional stability. Appearance is decent, definitely not luxurious, but they use a light quilted type stitch that gives it a nice touch. I put it on this morning and it seems to have stayed in place with only minor movement. My animals so far have enjoyed the cover and as expected my "Poopie" decided to christen it, my hubby was able to clean it up easily when he got home.

Surprisingly nice cover. Looks like it would wash well. On the thinner side but nicely sewn. I only gave it 4 stars because the pockets on the side are large (but functional) and well sewn but I see them as tacky. Plus even with my oversized arms, they just about touch the floor. My very large sofa is beige but more on the gray side. This cover is much more on the yellow/camel side of beige. II think I have this cover on correctly. It did not come with directions.. Beause of the pockets, the fact the cover only reaches to just over the bottom of the cushions and the color I am returning the cover. For reference my sofa is: 89" across w arms and not taking into account the depth of the arms it's just a straight shot across 70" acroos the cushions but just between the arms 36" deep w/o the back cushions I've attached a picture of the cover on my sofa and I think I've got it on properly. If not, then it would only rise part of the way up the back cushions and would drag on the ground in front.

Love it! Fit is very good, color coordinates with couch. It provides the protection need to prevent scratching damage to couch.

After using the cover for two years: As a family with three dogs, furniture covers are a must, especially in the winter. Some important features of this cover: it's absolutely waterproof, easily washable, and the underside of the cover has rubber dog-foot print anti-slip pads that keeps the bottom from slipping on the couch. This will protect your furniture! It stays put for the most part but requires resetting the position on the couch as it gets pulled when sat upon. Why only three stars: A flaw from where we sit is that the cover top and bottom are not adhered to each other. The three stars are because the waterproof lining - the part that is against the couch cushions, back and arms - is not attached to the cover - it's like a big pillowcase sewn all the way around. After you launder the cover and go to re-position it on the couch, the bottom lining sticks to your couch and when you pull it to move it, the top is free of the bottom, so you have to be sure to grab them both, it makes it difficult to position the cover. When you sit on the couch, the cover moves freely from the lining and that makes the cover look sloppy. Over time, that adds wear and tear on the cover and the visible part of the cover has worn thin, wrinkles easily, and doesn't remain in place once sat on. Our next cover will have a top and bottom that are adhered to each other. We have a second couch cover that is a reversable cover purchased at the same time; it still looks beautiful. The stitched together top and bottom add strength to the materials and over time, it stays were you put it, and it still looks great. And after laundering, it's easy to position (install) the cover on the couch.

I hate that I have to cover my nice furniture but these have proved their worth!! This has saved my soft leather couch from the perils of pet urine (older pet), pet vomit, pet and human slobber, chocolate smudge, juice spill, water spill and crumbs galore (pets and teenagers!!) And no, food is not allowed - sigh. We had used a variety of blankets but they weren’t waterproof. Then I decided for a more unified look. I have a sectional so I bought 2 large couch/sofa sizes and arranged it in a suitable configuration. The neutral color goes well in any season and it’s not hard to put on once you get used to your configuration. One minor issue, the slip free back part starts to lose its efficacy over many washings and my slouchy husband seems to like to drag the cover down with his slouching. If not for the elastic top holders, he and probably the cover would end on the floor!! So all in all they are worth a purchase. Note: No strong odor when opened. 2024: Still going strong. They are looking their age now after some washing/wearing but are still waterproof and soft. I will buy more in the near future!! Worth every penny.

Love this new cover! I have to say I absolutely HATE leather couches (apologies to those out there who love their own). I owned one years ago and sold it for scrap after I realized that it’s like trying to relax on a slippery stone... blankets slide off, pillows slide off, and worst of all, bodies slide off in a constant battle to stay put and get comfortable. Alas, I find myself battling again, as my roomate has traded our comfy cozy down sofa for a $5000 sleek red leather piece which is now the primary seating in our living room. Here we go again... my roomate and I end up in half seated/half laying positions as we struggle to remain upright. Forget about taking a nap... the pillows just slide right off. Oops, there went the blanket. Even the dog refuses to sleep on it, giving up the struggle after about 10 minutes and opting for the hard floor. I thought... there MUST be something out there for all of those with leather couch buying remorse who just wanna watch a movie in peace or take an afternoon nap?! Enter the Ameritech slipcover! I just got it this afternoon and I am absolutely joyous to say that it fits perfectly and is staying in place just as it was intended to do. The gripped backing provides a strong friction that gives me renewed hoped that I might be able to wait out the “Red Leather Couch Phase” without going mad. The dog and I are relaxing together again, and I have even brought out the fuzzy blanket which is happily bundled around my feet and staying put. I can’t speak for its washability or durability as it’s brand spankin new, and I’ve read reviews for several covers that the gripped backing might flake off during washing or god forbid stick to the leather and transfer permanently to the couch. I cannot speak for this but have my fingers crossed that it won’t happen. I bought this particular brand because those type of reviews were few and far between. This may not be the cozy down love-nest of a couch I’m accustomed to, but this slipcover is doing EXACTLY what I intended it to do... keep us on the couch, a human and canine family again.
