First time reloader, great introduction
As a first time reloader, it was a daunting to figure out what parts or brands to get in order to get started. I wasn't sure if I would really like reloading and how much it would cost to get a decent reloading setup. Online, I saw people using different kinds of turrets which costs hundreds of dollars. I wasn't sure if reloading was for me and I settled for a small handpress (the one where you hold in your hand) before I found this. From my research, this kit was cheap and reliable enough for me to get started into reloading. I got this kit to reload .223 ammo for my bolt action rifle. The kit comes with almost all the equipment you need to make .223 ammo that won't blow up in your face (if you follow the instructions). All you need is a mallet, a hard steady surface to work on, and reloading components (brass, primer, powder, bullet). In addition, I got a scale, calipers, ammo box, and an impact bullet puller to make my setup a bit more robust. I didn't get any lube because my brass came out just fine, it may be different for you. The instructions are very clear and all done through pictures. This kit is slow, but that works for me. It allows me to appreciate each round I make and understand how a bullet is created step by step. In the future, I plan on buying a multi stage turret because I now know I enjoy reloading. Again, I want to reiterate that this is an inexpensive way to get into reloading. So with that in mind, there are a few drawbacks to this kit and can be rectified by getting the more expensive turrets: -No Neck Sizing - Because there is no neck sizing, there is a chance that your reloads will not fit into other guns. Because of the expansion after the round is fired, the neck molds to that gun and it might not be the same size as other guns. If you are reloading for the same gun, then this will not be an issue. You can also buy a neck resizer to fix this issue. -Powder accuracy - You are literally using a little cup to measure the powder. Sometimes there's too much and sometimes there's too little. Eyeballing it can only get you so far. Either way, they will be safe loads and should fire fine. I bought a scale (and calipers) to do some quality checks but I really need an auto powder measure to fix this issue. -Speed - If you are looking to reload hundreds of rounds per session, this kit is not for you. A turret will allow to make rounds at a faster rate. Again, I got this kit to get into reloading. And lastly, buy an impact bullet puller! Mistakes will happen and this will save you from wasting a bullet. Overall, this is a great kit to get you started in reloading without spending too much.

Good bang for the buck.
Works as it should, crimper works best on bullets with cannelure, look inside the funnel, yes, you can roll crimp with it. Have not set a primer off, not sure how i would as your not beating the thing to death. The scoop is a joke, you can do some very consistent rounds with this, just buy a seperate scale and do some measuring. If your buying this, your not looking to break any speed records anyways. If your going for accuracy, your not churning out 300 rounds an hour anyhow. I have seen people talking of bullets sliding...well, make sure you get that case flush with the base when neck sizing. It takes a lot of force with no crimping to get the bullet to slide. Im buying another i 30-06 and 45auto. Great tool.

Slow, but easy and effective
As with the 9mm and 7.62x54R Lee loaders I reviewed, the .223 Rem kit does a great job producing accurate handloaded custom ammo. I had absolutely no problems adjusting the bullet seating depth and locking the collar down. I've loaded my first 100rds with it now and I have seen a noticeable difference in accuracy out to 400 yards. I have loaded Remington, Winchester, and PMC brass and would say in my experience the PMC is the easiest to size and seat the primers. I recommend this kit to all reloaders and especially preppers due to its extreme portability...

Better than I thought in many ways!
I was warned not to order this by a local retailer because ti is a waste of time. The guy who said this is only half right. This mechanism does take a little while to figure out, and it does take longer to assemble a round than the more fancy and much more expensive machines. Past that, I think this is brilliant! The first couple rounds can be slightly awkward, but it's really not that bad. If you aren't worried about speed, this thing is great! The pros of it are many! -very simple to use -easily adjusted to guarantee proper bullet length -simple primer placement! -easy easy easy!!! -Easy to use for the novice. -does NOT require a whole workbench to reload!!! -Small enough to take to the range to make adjustments as you go. As for the cons, I can't think of many. -due to design, it may be easy to accidentally alter the length of the round -does take time to get anywhere... -easy to use for the novice. This is supposed to come with a chart with specific recipes for bullet weights, although mine did not. I called the manufacturer directly, and they were prompt to send me a replacement sheet. You can also google recipes, and you'll be blown away at the sheer number of them. This caliber is a reloader's dream because it is so versatile. I do recommend you read up on proper weights and what works for your rifle's twist before getting too far into reloading! I posted "easy for hte novice" as both a good and a bad thing because, as a novice myself, it is very nice to be able to pick this up and throw a round together. BUT you really do need to read up on reloading safety and practices before using this tool! Reloading can be dangerous, or even deadly, if done wrong. The last thing I want is to wear my AR15 as jewelry, so I'm overly cautious. Another of the best things about his is how small the container is. I have this, a scale, calibration set, several hundred primers, a bag of 100 shells, a pound of powder, and more in a small ammo can, with minimal room to spare. Nest up is upgrading to a .50cal ammo can so I can fit my recipe book, and a second pound of powder in there too. SO, with all that said, I would very highly recommend this to many people, but definitely not for everybody! This setup takes time, and patience. You must scale every load before loading the round, as the included scoop isn't the most accurate. If you have a lot of time, and are looking to learn something new or need a new hobby that relates to firearms, then this is for you! If you don't have much common sense, don't have the patience, and have no desire to make sure things are accurate constantly, then step away and please stick to either not shooting, or using store bought rounds!!! I personally intend to purchase several more of these in different sizes.

Simple to use, portable and well made, the only thing to go wrong was the decapping rod broke but that was my fault, highly recommend this kit, does everything a press does just slower, ammo quality is great 👍

Awesome tool. Easy to use easy to adjust [ with a vernier ]. Plain and simple it works and works well. Remember this tool neck sizes the case only. This works for bolt guns, or single shot. Not so much for semi autos. I also purchased an electronic scale, powder trickle , and some ammo boxes. As well as a ammo or case board. I use the whole set up at the kitchen table, with a nylon hammer, a piece of leather for a matt, and a hockey puck for a base. Can't say enough good about this product.
