A good conspiracy.
Just reread this book after many years and I can still say it has a good story line. A little dated maybe but it's still a good story line. I love a good conspiracy and this book has just that. Quite the romp.

My Mother selected this book for me to read aloud to her. Not one of my favorites. Too slow and predictable. I have read a lot of Sidney Sheldon, but was not too crazy about this one.

I absolutely love Sidney Sheldon novels but this one was not his greatest. Good read but I expected better from Mr. Sheldeon.

Sidney Sheldon Genius Story Teller
I cannot get enough of Sydney Sheldon s books. His plots are unbelievable. Tilly bagshaw is a pale shadow of his genius. I have read 6 of his books in a week.

I love Sidney Sheldon and this is just one of many great reads. The storylines are wonderful, the characters defined and the writing flows. What more can I say? I recommend this.

Breathtaking Suspense !!!!
As an avid reader of Sidney Sheldon, l find my latest buy an engrossing read. This novel deals with high-end conspiracy, political scenario, and well-laid plans of assassination. But above all, the author depicts his central character, Mary Ashley with all human qualities that command the reader's respect as well as admiration.

A glossy, fast paced thriller
Although this book was written 30 odd years ago it's still a compelling page turner. Writers like Sidney Sheldon were masters at writing this type of glossy thriller. If you enjoy a fast paced thriller set in Cold War Europe this one's for you. You really get a sense of Bucharest and life in the diplomatic service. I kind of guessed who the killer was early but it was still a great read and highly recommended. A bit violent in places and some swear words. Also a few sex scenes. Thought I'd add that for those who may not like those things.
