More expensive than generic but better quality.
I use these instead of "store bought" #4 filters because they are a little more durable. The store bought ones often tear. These never do.

These are the only filters that fit right
I've tried all sorts of filters trying to save about 10 cents a cup. The main thing about the Clever Dripper filters is the size and fit. I have found no adequate substitute. Are they worth paying basically double or triple what I can get other filters for? Yes. And that's after trying 5 different kinds over about a year and a half. Just get the right tool for the job...

Perfect cup every time.
Filters great. Never have a problem with is coffee grounds in my cup. The coffee maker that goes with the filters, works awesome too!

Pricey - but I'm not complaining - stronger!
Alternatives (#4 size) fit and work okay. But these have proved stronger, more reliable, for my process. These I can steep in for extra long whiles with room temperature water for cold brewing. And I can even pour over again, using the same filter two or three more gos, refreshing the grounds a bit (as needed) each round (that I leave steep for hours for concentrated cold brew). The thickness may be key, but I haven't measured that precisely.

Quality Filter
We found that these filters work the best for the clever. We have try just about every other brand, many which clog towards the bottom. This filter is a smooth transition from clever to cup. Worth the price.

Should've bought something else
Does the job, but its so thin and weak that it sometimes folds on itself as the water is pouring, causing ground beans to flow out.
