RJ45 Crimp Tool Pass Through Crimper Cutter for Cat6a Cat6 Cat5 Cat5e 8P8C Modular Connector Ethernet Crimper Tool

I do alot of crimping and I go through crimpers fairly quickly. This tool is well built and so far has really upped my average successful crimps since I got it. I prefer the pass through crimping systems now because of my success rate with this particular crimper.Great value for the money, connection quality great.

Gets the job done, did a small project at home with Poe cameras, so far so good - all rj45 are good. Definitely worth the price

It worked perfectly

I always had a bunch of Cat5/6 patch cables laying around that had the little tab broken off. I finally decided to buy a bag of ends and this crimper tool to fix them all. It really does work quite nice. My only ding is that it has a channel to put the round wire into to notch the outer jacket for stripping. This channel is a bit too deep so it doesn't always cut or cut enough into the jacket. I guess I'd rather have it this way than have it cutting into the twisted conductors within, but it does reduce the utility of an otherwise nice tool. Maybe there is a lack of standards on how thick the wire should be so it's not really possible to have this work consistently. Everything else works fine. I use the tool to cut off the end and strip the outer jacket. I untwist and arrange the wires, use the tool to trim them so they are even, slip on a crimp-on connector and use the tool to simultaneously cut off the excess wires and crimp it. That much worked every time. The outermost two wires didn't always get cut off all the way but a little wiggling and they also came off leaving a nice usable new connector.

I bought these along with a bag of the pass through RJ-45 connectors. I put them on the tool bench after the re-wiring due to moving our office in the house from one room to another was complete. Basically, forgot about them. Recently, I need to add a new Wi-Fi AP to the house and was struggling with the old style connectors I had. I remembered these and their associated connectors. Went down to the tool bench, picked up the bag of connectors and the tool, and in the time I was struggling with a pair of terminated cables to be built and tested, I was able to finish the entire project and move on to other things. These pass through connectors are great and this tool is a MUST buy if you get the pass through RJ-45 connectors as it crimps and trims the wires coming out business end of the connector perfectly. It's worth ever dime. If you use pass through RJ-45's get this tool. It's that good. I'll still keep my other crimper as it can do 2,4,& 6 pair wire crimp RJs easily. I'll struggle making those ends but for RJ-45s, this is my tool. Period.

It is smaller than I expected. But it works fine and would be good to carry in a go-bag.

Saw another review saying the product doesn’t come with extra blade. Well I can testify it does. I am able to use this with the pass through caps I bought and works like a charm. Passes the cable test each time I use this to crimp and trim the cables. Overall grade A++++++
