I bought 2 of these and they're excellent. They come with a double sided adhesive strip to attach the leather strop to a solid surface. I only use the smooth surface with the ultra fine stropping compound and this puts an excellent edge on all my kitchen knives. Great product, I highly recommend it.

It's not bad, but could be improved. As a strop, it's a chunk of leather so can't go too wrong there. The compounds are nice but I wouldn't rate them much above the wax bricks. The sticky strip was fairly useless and wanted to stick to anything but the leather so ended up using wood glue. I wouldn't say it's worth the premium price, but it does the job it sets out to do so four stars.

Good quality piece of leather with 4 different sharpening compounds, easy to use and well worth the money. Also came with 2 sided tape (branded 3M!!) to attach to a board if you wish. this was the exact size of the strop so a great addition.

The Leather is good and excellent for honing. I bought this in order to try to rescue a cut throat razor. I have been (unsuccessfully) trying to bring the razor back to "shave ready" status. No amount of stropping on a bare leather strop was helping achieve the sharpness required. Using the green compound and the strop helped me achieve a mirror finish on the edge and the razor is now shave ready. This is a kit, not a finished strop btw, you are supplied with the leather, a piece of double sided tape/glue, and several small pots of honing compound, each of a different grade. You must supply the back-board or handle. In practice, you will probably only use one pot, as once you`ve applied the paste, its on there for good. However, you do have the choice of grades, which is good.

Perhaps I’m not using it correctly but I can’t see much benefit

Mount the hide as you wish, apply the compounds and away you go! Works very well!

Ik ben erg blij met de aankoop van dit product maar er zijn een paar minpunten. 1. Wat voor mij het grootste nadeel is is dat de slijppasta in kleine bakjes zit. Dit zag in eerste instantie goed uit, maar het is niet gebruiksvriendelijk. Als je de pasta op het leer wilt smeren dan moet je uit het bakje halen, anders kom je er simpelweg niet bij. Maar bij mij zat de pasta (het is eigelijk geen pasta maar een blokje wax) zit vast in het bakje. Ik moest deze met warm water en een scherp object er uit halen. 2. Ik had graag een extra stip leer gehad. Ik wist vanaf het begin dat deze er niet bij zat maar het had zeker makkelijker geweest om er een extra te hebben. Nogmaals, ik heb dit product nu een maand en ben erg tevreden over het product. De plakband is sterk en de leer is van goede kwaliteit.

Cuir vraiment de très bonne qualité. je recommande fortement. il suffit simplement de fabriquer un support pour coller le cuir et c'est parti.
