So much better than any other series!
This is the last volume of this epic saga and guess what, it will give you so many feels when you read through the last of the pages. Although it is said to belong to cyberpunk genre I personally feel, it is much more and vast than the limits cyberpunk mangas reach. It is an amalgamation of sublime gorgeous art and brilliant writing. Akira is a manga that is so hugely influential yet, at this point of time it is not too often credited by the masses which is quite a poor state of affair. Another thing I felt rolling my eyes through each and every page is that the dedication of Katsuhiro Otomo sensei is unquestionable. Most of the contemporary artists wouldn't be able to dedicate themselves into their work so much as this man did. Its a work that is Immortal within the minds of those who read it. The philosophical aspects are of humongous scale and depth. I hardly ever saw this kind of versatility within a single work. Its as if the entire world and its reason of existence and the existence and extinction of life is summarized in concise. It also deals with Birth and death aspect, as to say the cycle of generation and regeneration. Otomo sensei clearly knows how to meet ends. Akira is an icon of several other iconic series. It was the beginning of a great age of innovation. Hats off to Katsuhiro Otomo and of course, AKIRA. It will be always remembered!!!
