Ideal for on-the-go composition or playing
I had some very specific criteria in looking for a midi keyboard for composing whilst travelling:- must be portable- must have full size (or close to full size) keys- must have 3 octavesThis iRig Keys 2 Pro (37 key version) was the only controller I could find in the market that fit the bill for all those. It just about fits in aeroplane hand luggage if you put it in a long enough gym bag for example (I’ve taken it on 5 flights now with no issues yet). The Keybed is great, keys are full size (make sure to get the Pro model for full size keys) and have decent responsiveness, they’re not weighted, but that would make the product super heavy anyway so was not a concern for me.It seems to be of a very sturdy construction, as it took a beating travelling around Latin America with me and is still going strong (I did buy a small soft carry case for it so it had some protection inside luggage, would recommend doing that).Functionality is great, it works with all major music writing notation software packages like Sibelius, Presonus etc, also works seamlessly with DAWs (tested with Ableton) and vst instuments. It was literally plug and play with all of those.Minor issues that I hope iRig improve for the next release: the little rubber feet fall off, would be great if they were fixed on better, also would be great if they could upgrade the outdated micro usb out port to a sturdier usbc port (that being said, the included leads will allow you to use it with pretty much anything out the box, I just know that micro usb ports tend to break after a few years).Overall, I definitely recommend the 37 key Pro version for someone who wants to compose or play on the move, I tried a few other brands and couldn’t use the silly mini keys that all the other brands have. The iRig really is the best solution available right now

Thanks!
Great delivery and speed of support! An excellent Keyboard to start of with and continue developing as a piano player.

Connectivity portability good
When I don't want to lug full size 88 key midi controller or piano this is perfect when I want 37 keys, to take nearly anywhere , weekends away, train, even for busking or small open mic so don't have to lug a keyboard stand around. the perfect midi keyboard never found one yet. Its the only midi keyboard of ''this size and weight '', I could find with audio out , midi in and out (mini size) awesomeHas some pitfalls already covered in other feedback, like a way to power it from usb power pack would be good ( can get phone adaptor to accommodate extra input for charger), mini usb would have been better usbc ( although connection is firm) , 1/4 out would have been better, free software you had to buy only got a couple of instruments to tempt you, if you don't really need many instruments doesn't really matter as I use full computer when I need to do proper work

Much Regretted Purchase
This product is supposed to be class compliant but barely worked from the outset with my Mac M1 pro, temperamental and glitchy. After a while I had to continually un-plug then plug back in to get it to work until it stopped working altogether. Looking on other forums it seems I am not the only person to suffer with these problems. IK Multimedia technical support is non-existent, such a shame as I have other products from them which have been excellent, but thankfully Amazon allowed me to return this pile of junk.

Sloppy USB, poor Functionality, zero support
At first, I thought this was ideal for my purpose, as a small upper keyboard for my DP, using sounds from Cubase. However, the integration was very inadequate, and the meagre manual is useless. It does not include any MIDI script for use with Cubase, and even trying to create one, became impossible. I sent two ticket to support 6 days ago, and no response. So I returned to Amazon. Meanwhile I purchased another make that turned out to be far superior.

Great mini key MIDI keyboard
This is the Irig Keys 2, which has 37 mini keys, more than most mini MIDI keyboard out there. The Irig Keys 2 Pro has full sized keys but I wanted the lighter and more portable option, and the mini keys are easy enough to play. Minus one star because of the lack of Bluetooth, and warning if you're buying from Amazon Warehouse/used: it will work with generic Windows drivers but you need to register the product with the manufacturer to download the proper driver. If you've bought a return where the product has already been registered, you'll have to contact the Irig technical support to try and get them to sort it. I got there eventually but it was a bit of a hassle.

Utterly baffling!
I bought this because I wanted a small, lightweight keyboard so I could do piano practice when travelling. This is small and light - but utterly baffling. There's no power cable - it apparently powers from your device (phone, laptop etc) which you need to connect to it. The instructions are almost non existent. It tells you to download an app - which I did... but after 2 frustrating hours I still could not get the keyboard to work. I'm fairly young and no technophobe - so this really shouldn't be this difficult. In the end I gave up and sent it back.
