I am not elderly and I’m fairly healthy. However due to a medical condition I became anemic and needed to add iron to my diet. Due to G.I. issues, iron pills were not possible for me. I tried Ensure because it has 25% of the daily value of iron. I was very surprised at all the other nutrition that it has including zinc, protein, and several vitamins. This product is very tasty. It comes in easy to handle plastic containers and the packaging was well protected for shipping. Even though my iron deficiency is improving - no doubt due to this product’s help, I will continue to use it to supplement my nutrition and at times as a convenient-quick meal replacement on the go. Ensure is not just for grandma anymore!

Unfortunately, I have been having surgery pretty often. I first got these for when I had a tonsillectomy, and they were a lifesaver! No mixing required. I could grab one and go back to bed with it. I even poured it over ice with coffee in the mornings. Of course, I had the usual tonsillectomy foods, but I feel like this packed that protein and vitamin punch. At the checkup, my doctor said I was healed much more completely than most people, and I credit that getting a good amount of protein and vitamins from this. Now whenever I have surgery, I have some on hand just on case food doesn't sound good. It tastes better than a lot of protein powder mixes, and it's all ready to go.

I bought these after having dental surgery since I wasn’t able to chew for about 2 weeks. I also have IBS and have a hard time finding things to Fill me up but this does it for me, and I tend to skip dinner. Granted, everyone has different triggers for IBS so just read the label and follow your symptoms. I’ve tried strawberry, caramel and the 9gram version of the banana nut flavor and chocolate. The best flavors are chocolate and the banana nut flavor. My dad drinks them now as well after a visit to the hospital for lack of nutrition. Definitely recommend these!

These are good. In my opinion, they are overly sweet, and very high in sugar. They're double the Special K sugar content, despite being almost half the size. This leads to empty calories, which is not what I was going for when I bought them. I wanted nutrition-packed calories for breastfeeding support, in an easy, quick snack. The chocolate flavor is great, and the small size makes these very portable on the go. I would definitely not call them "easy to open", as described. I am a mid-twenties female with nails and still struggle with the plastic wrapping the lid. My husband flat-out can't get the plastic off at all.

I recently had major surgery, and you don't always want to eat a full meal, or don't want to eat at all. Ensure's a decent way to get a "meal". This price is way less than what you can find it for at retail stores such as Walmart, plus with Prime shipping to our door is free, so I think this was a pretty good deal. I docked a star from flavor because I've always thought Ensure (and frankly all similar drinks) taste chalky. I wouldn't choose them (any of them) as a first choice for a meal replacement, but they're not bad if you're hungry, don't feel like (or can't ) cooking.

In no way, of course, should you ever drink Ensure to replace all meals; however, I have found that using it versus a snack has helped me a great deal with energy as well as shedding a good 10 pounds. While I have no actual proof to back that up, and again, no one should drink these strictly as a meal day in and day out, they are a very valid replacement for meals here and there, and it has helped me. For me, too, the taste is delicious!

I have to say thank you for this product!! My mother was steadily loosing weight and not eating living by herself. She has mild dementia and was progressing at a pace much faster than we expected. Thanks to her doctor and this product...she loves it and it has made her eat, which in turn has made her gain weight, which in turn to me, feeds her brain and slowed down the progression. She has so much energy that its hard for her to stay still. Thank again for bringing that light back in her eyes and for this product and am the flavors!!!!

I buy this nutritious `High Protein` version of Ensure for an elderly male patient who now has a diminishing appetite. In order to help the patient keep up his strength and a safe weight, I add a scoop of powdered protein to each bottle of High Protein Ensure. He thoroughly enjoys these `chocolate shakes` with meals twice a day. In fact, he refers to the chocolate shakes as his `dessert`. At 160 calories, it has about 100 fewer sugar calories than the regular Ensure product... and in my opinion, it is much healthier to avoid so much sugar.

Comparado con el ENSURE ADVANCE....ENSURE H.PROTEIN, Es u buen producto. Pero si es más Dulce, y o con una sensación más Delgada, casi casi quimico al Final! Es la primera vez que lo compro...Pero creo que a mi Gusto Muy Personal, me quedare con el ENSURE ADVANCE.
