Great product. A little challenging to install by myself, so get a helper.

These storage systems are very sturdy and very solidy. Please note: the plywood (you have to buy) sits on top of about 3 inches of bar, so you lose about 3 inches of vertical - see my photos - I installed these right over my garage doors, so it sort of mattered. In one picture you can see another system - that is not sturdy - but also works, as compared to these. I installed mine not connected to each other, so they do not have to be side by side. They are no easier or harder to install than others. My builder decided to put the stringers at just random distances, so mine was a mess to find all the studs - you will definitely want a good stud finder system. None of mine were more than24 inches, which I believe is code in all states, and so these work just fine with 24 inch and smaller, random distances.

The only real issue was the packaging. One end was ripped open and some parts were missing. Nothing major, but some small screws and wing nuts. I did order a white one, but gray showed up. Those are the reasons for just 4 stars. That said, it wasn't that easy to install. No fault of the product, but working on a 10 ft ceiling made it a bit of a challenge for me. Once up, it is very sturdy and strong. I actually had to climb up on it to set the second piece of wood. The instructions could have been a bit better, but they are sufficient. Overall, very pleased. Might consider a second one.

My second purchase of this unit. It was an exactly as advertised. It had all parts, all parts fit as necessary. It was simple and easy to install. I installed it by myself but would recommend a 2 person install!

We needed storage racks to help organize our garage and allow us to park our cars. These shelves were the answer. Very satisfied with the product. We ran into a little bit of difficulty because they shipped us one of each color but we contacted the company and they worked with us to come up with an acceptable solution. The instructions were not the clearest when trying to figure out how to attach the 4x4 sections but eventually I was able to figure it out. One piece of advice, don’t install the ceiling mounting brackets too close to the wall. In my case I only left about 3/4 of an inch which made getting the nut and washer on to the bolt a challenge. I initially stressed about getting the measurements exact right down to a 1/4 of an inch and then realized after much consternation that it wasn’t necessary. Overall, the product is very sturdy and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I highly recommend these racks.

It was a project putting it up but a great finished product!!! Bought white rack can barely see it with finished garage. Definitely 5 star.

I've always wanted a set of these racks to make the most of the storage space in my garage. The racks are fairly easy to put together. The reason I gave it 4 stars for ease of install is no fault of the rack, it's just not that easy to install as you have to install brackets on the ceiling (unless your garage ceiling is unfinished). If your garage ceiling is finished, I would highly recommend saving yourself some headache and going to your local hardware store (or buying on Amazon) a stud finder. They are just a few dollars but will save you a ton of hassle and miss-drilled holes. Very happy with the racks, they look great and hold everything I was hoping they would. I plan on getting another rack in the future.

I ordered this for use in my garage on the ceiling above my garage door. The kit doesn't really have any words only poorly done drawings that aren't explanatory. The kit I ordered is actually 2 sperate 48"x48" units not one 4'x 8'. This was never articulated in the literature. I'm pretty mechanical so it wasn't terrible to figure it all out once I laid out the parts and did all of the math. The assembly was straight forward and needed few tools. The unit itself is sturdy and as advertised. I will purchase another one.
