Android Smartphones Made Easy: The Beginners Guide Made For Beginners (Computers Made Easy)
S**S
Book title is accurate. It is aimed at first time Android smart phone user.
Because I have had my smartphone for awhile, this was almost too simplistic for me. But I started with this because I felt that a "Smartphone for Dummies" would be too sophisticated for me and my very basic smartphone. When I upgrade to newer phone, I will be ready for a "Dummies" book.

Gives good information on Android phones.
Only problem I found was finding info on the TracFone androids. Some terminology problems. Hard to write one book on all android phones, specially when manufactures/resellers can take liberties and use different terms or delete some features.

fairly comprehensive overview of android phone usage
The book is full of useful information regarding the use of android phones. Of course, it is not completely up to date because new models come out so often.

Some Good Info, A Little Hard to Understand
I wanted to use this book to teach a couple of people how to use their Android phones. Colorful illustrations would help although I know that would have increased the cost greatly. As I read through it to prepare for using it, I noticed that some portions were hard for me to understand and I skipped over those as well as some instructions that I felt the average user would probably not need. I am going to attempt to use it, but I don't feel confident with some of the content. It is not a bad reference guide as a whole though.

Visit a cell phone store for questions on how to use your Android phone
Book is well written and organized. Did not help me much as I don't have a basic understanding of Android anything. Cell phones are changing so fast and seems there are so many different operating systems in use that almost any book is going to be out of date before is can be published and distributed. Best to take your cell phone to a cell phone store and ask for help in how to use it.

Ok for absolute beginners
Images were ample and more than large enough. However, some of the author's own personalized settings (e.g., guitar wallpaper) are distracting. Wince at typos such as, "We are mostly concerted with the installed section..." (pg. 73).Writing about just the basics is fine, but in that case a glossary and especially an index would be useful.

Solid introduction
This is so much easier to use than the instruction manual. If you are putting off getting a smartphone because you think they are difficult to learn and use, then you need to read this book.

Very helpful.
I found this resource to be well written and easy to understand. I like the illustrations, too. I am slow to the smartphone party, so, I needed all the information provided.I will probably return to this book in the future for refreshers.

A little complicated
I bought this for a pensioner who'd never owned a smartphone before. I had a quick look through the pages before I handed the book over and it didn't seem to be basic enough.Although the book was classed as second hand it was in 'as new' condition. I was very impressed by this.

Not so Up to date
I thought this book would be the bees knee's But I can function must of the activity and never used an android system and it is not written well for people who do not understand computer eg Android functioning mobile/computes.

Good for basic set ups of most phones
Covers the basic of setting up your smart phone and some of the more common features and functions of most phones . If you want to know more about your particular phone I would either suggest doing some in depth online research or finding a book about your phone.

Good for Smartphone Beginner
This book has excellent basic information for those who, like myself, are new to smartphones. There's a lot to learn on these little dingos, and if you don't want to be last in the sheepdip, then you need something to get you shorn and pointed in the right direction. Talking to myself here: the basic Android stuff is roughly the same for all Android models; as a rule, it's only in the more advanced details that you'll find variation.

Really Useful
I have had a smartphone for years but I did not know how to work it. This book is easy to read and full of useful tips.
