These are the ones you want if you need circle wedges. I rarely use circle wedges, but when I do I use these. I rehandle lots of wooden handle tools. Axes, mauls, hammers, you name it. These things are hard to started in a tight handle that already has a wooden wedge, but that’s just part and parcel with these. You have to hit them hard. Be careful, you can split the handle if you try to get it too tight. These things are the real deal.

I do not always use steel wedges, but when I do I find this style works well. They are tricky to remove with out damaging the handle.

Had an old axe where the handle had dried out some and the head was a little wobbly and loose - not a terribly safe condition! Picked these up and they work fantastic, instead of a wedge spreading out the wood in two directions, this circular wedge displaces material in a 360 degree area ensuring that the axe handle is pushing against the axe head in all directions. There is absolutely no wobble now and the axe head feels rock solid on the handle.

These conical wedges have very thin edges and can be easily driven into wooden handles to secure the tool head. The other end is beefy so the conical shape doesn't collapse as they are driven home.

My new handle hasn’t moved a hair since installed it in a 3lb engineer’s hammer with one of these circular wedges, and I’ve gotten plenty of use out of it.

Decent wedges. The finish was a bit rough and the end of the cone you drive into the wood is dull, which makes it difficult to drive into the handle. But they work and are better then other similar prices wedges. Superior to the China made knockoffs, which are next to un-usable.
