Great Machine!
I LOVE my new Braun Food Processor! I recommended this processor to a friend, based on the great performance of the Braun processor I had already owned that looks similar. I then put this model in my own cart, and "saved for later" until I was ready to give up my original Braun processor. I have had my original Braun food processor for 30 yrs and it is still going strong. I've been so happy with it's performance over the years, but wanted to hand it down to my daughter. So, I bought myself this new FP3020. I'm so happy I finally bought it as this is a powerhouse of a machine! I did shop around and consider other makers and other machines. f But, for this price point, you get more power and more machine which equals more bang for your buck. I love Braun, and I'll tell you why: 1) The motor is super quiet for a processor - much more quiet than even my old Braun. 2) It has a very large capacity, (greater than my old one by a cup and a half) And, for big jobs, a large capacity is a must. 3) The Braun machine and canister have a simple, straightforward design. So, it's easy to fill and empty. Not complicated. 4) This machine comes with more attachments and more variable speed selections than others, including my old one, too. So, the capabilities are endless. 5) The Braun motor. Nothing beats it, in my opinion. I just ground up a couple pounds of beef in about a minute! All in all, very pleased with my new processor. I'm hoping this Braun processor's motor is just as long-lived as my last one!

Best Food Processor bar none
I grew up on Braun and until about 10-15 years ago you could purchase their products all over in the U.S. They were a staple in all the old TV food shows including Julia Child's program. Then P&G put the brakes on it and now only the shaver line is available in the States. The Braun household product line is now manufactured by DeLonghi in China and East European countries primarely for European purchase. Now Braun coffee makers made in China and this item can be bought on Amazon.com. I am glad that Amazon included this machine in their offerings. Thankfully there are only minor quality issues compared to the proven Made in Germany items. This is the best machine, it does everything one can ask for. I love that the bowl is sealed unlike competitors' products. It's easy to clean and comes with a myriad of accessories. It comes with a variable speed selector, which is a huge benefit, it's easy to operate, it's quiet and not super heavy. I am so glad I don't have to operate my 220V machine with the step down transformer anymore. Thanks Amazon.

QUALITY... all the way. Highly recommend
I've had this food processor for almost a year now. It's the 5th food processor I've ever used. The first one, was a Braun I inherited from my mom. It was awesome, but she had had it for years, so it was on it's last leg by the time I got it, and died not long after. In my search for a replacement, I bought several different units after that, and they were all JUNK. I won't name the brands - I don't want to embarrass the makers. I gave them away. After that I decided to go with this new Braun, and so glad I did. Here's why I love it. Pros: 1) It's very well made. It's substantial. The bowl and lid feel like a better, thicker quality plastic than the others I had bought. 2) It's super easy to assemble for use then disassemble afterward. Way easier than the others I had bought. 3) A snap to clean. 4) Came with every blade I needed, and then some. 5) The feed chute is a nice size so you can feed larger pieces. 6) It's amazingly quiet. When I started it for the first time, I thought it wasn't working - it's quiet. Con: It's a little bigger than average unit, so it takes up a more space. I have a walk in pantry where I keep all my appliances, so I knew when I bought it, it wouldn't be an issue for me.

Superior to any others we tried, including $$$ Magimix.
Replacing an old KitchenAid food processor that finally died, we first tried the Cuisinart DLC something, which felt cheap, rattled and was loud. Next up was the $$$ Magimix 3200 which was touted as the best of the best -- nope. It also had some poor-fitting parts (including the shutting mechanism, which felt cheap and like the tab would break off in the not-too-distant future) and made a loud something-might-be-breaking sound. So we tried this Braun as a last resort. It definitely won't win any beauty awards, but this thing eclipses the other two by far. It's incredibly quiet, super easy to use, everything fits firmly and perfectly, and it's powerful. There's nothing more you could want from a food processor with all of the attachments it comes with, and while it was annoying to have go through two cheaply made though expensive processors to get to a good one, in the end it was worth it as we got the best of the bunch. This feels far more professional than the "professionally"-priced Magimix does. HIGHLY recommended. It ain't pretty but the performance and ease of use beats any other food processor I've owned or tried. Apparently it's not being made anymore which is why it's now so cheap, but my experience with other Braun products in the past is that they last, so I'm not worried.

We bought this to replace our 48 year old Braun Kitchen machine which still works quite well but is getting noisy and a couple of the attachments have cracked parts or are worn. That machine was a different design, with an elevated drive point to power slicers, blenders, etc. and a removable top arm to power mixers in bowls set on a base below it. The new version powers everything from a drive point just above the counter-top and is more compact and convenient. We also had a couple other "kitchen machines" from other well-known brands because we thought they might perform some functions (e.g., slicing/grating, or mixing heavy dough batters) better but none of them were as well designed and durable as the Braun. We have been using the new device with various attachments for about a month and find it works very well, smoothly and quietly. It is lighter then the old version with thinner plastic moldings and attachments and I doubt it will last 48 years like the old one did, but then I am CERTAIN that I will not last another 48 years.

This is a great food processor! It feels durable and sturdy. I can also confirm that it’s much quieter than its competitors, like it advertises. The motor is also pretty powerful. I first used this to prepare ingredients for a Mexican taco bowl. I had it chop peppers, dice onions, and shred cheese. I’ve also had a chance to shred carrots and chop potatoes, which the processor had no trouble doing. A very small critique, though I love this appliance, is that I wish the manual contained more tips on preparation. I’m not a master with this tool by any means, so it took a few attempts to get food prepared as I desired when I first started out. I had to, alternatively, watch a couple YouTube videos to become acquainted, but no trouble at all. I use this appliance for my everyday food prep at home and based on my experience so far, I recommend this processor to anyone.

I bought my one and only previous food processor (a Braun) back in 1988 and used it constantly over all these 31 years. I was so sad when it finally expired recently. I looked at many, many other (and MUCH) cheaper brands and was tempted to spend less. But in the end, I was only happy buying another Braun since clearly this is a brand I can trust. It is quiet and works beautifully and has many helpful attachments. Everything is easy to use and - very important - easy to clean. I am very satisfied that I made the right decision! (If it lasts another 31 years I'll be thrilled!)

Update: less than 4 years since purchase, inner pin on the base cracked, very disapointing since my old machine lasted for so long. Not the same "German Engineering" as it used to be.... This is my 3rd Braun food processor. First lasted 25 years, second one's base is still working but attachments gave up after 10 years. Once I had american brand, very nice looking but loud and lasted only 2 years. This new Braun model is much better than old one, it's very easy to use, easy to clean, the base is light but powerful, VERY QUIET! This is the only one I could find on the market with grating attachment. I've just used it to make fresh horseradish, fantastic! Only negative: its very difficult to remove the lid from the small bowl that have anti splash rubber seal on the top...but I always need help opening the jars as well. maybe my hand as just small. I hope this processor will last as long as the old models.

Just received my Braun FP3020 food processor. I had a Braun many years ago that lasted for years with no problems. Recently I went through two Hamilton Beach models (got a great deal on HB) which both died within six months so I decided to spring for a Braun for the reliability and performance I remembered. This new Braun "Tribute Collection" model is smaller than I the one I had before many years ago and fits nicely on my kitchen counter. It runs really well, is very easy to use and so far, I've used the dough hook, the fine slicer, the coarse slicer and the miniature chopper. I really love the mini chopper! It's a great feature not available on my earlier model from the 90s. There are some good instructional videos on YouTube which show you how to operate the machine if you need help as the manual that comes with it isn't very comprehensive. Great product. Pricey, but you get what you pay for and now having tried other food processors and realizing they have functional problems and aren't as reliable, I swear by Braun.
