PROTECTO Heavy Duty Cord Protectors from Pets No Chew Solution, 7ft, 1/5in

So far it’s working great preventing our little demon kitties from eating through cords throughout the house. I guess we had picked out the perfect name for them when we got them as kittens, “ Smokey and the Bandit” lolMy entire life (42 years) I’ve had cats and NEVER had to worry about them eating through cords and getting electrocuted or sick if they swallow the material. Not until we got two kittens almost a year ago. I guess in cat years they’re now considered “ teenagers”. Over the last 4 months or so we’ve noticed them chewing through cell phone chargers, lamp cords, camera cords, even the light fixture we have for our Russian Tortoises heat lamp which that cord is very thick and black! Usually they’ve only chewed through cords that were white which is wicked weird but my thought is they’re made from a certain material that either tastes or smells good or maybe the texture of it…. Who knows… From what we’ve seen they’re not swallowing anything, just chewing through them but it’s clearly not safe either way. We’ve had bought them SOOO MANY chew toys and toys in general to keep them busy and entertained. We don’t know if this is from Boredom or if they’re teething. Either way they’ve cost us a ton of money replacing everything and we’ve had enough. Fortunately they haven’t had to go to the vet because they made themselves sick which is another reason why I believe they’re only chewing and not eating. BUT because they continue to chew thru the camera cords we have no way of knowing 100% if they’re not swallowing anything! 😡Anywho, we used this black material kind on the heat lamp a few weeks ago and they’ve left it alone. I also added that bitter spray as an extra layer of protection however it didn’t work all that well on its own. They literally chewed the replacement cord for the camera within 30 seconds of douching it and setting it up. So I’m really hoping between both, they’ll continue to leave it alone.This was very easy to wrap around the cord and it fit well, especially because this cord was much bigger but we had no issues. I love that we can cut it for sizing. I don’t like that it shreds after cutting it which is why they tell you to burn it lightly to prevent fraying and shredding. I did that and so far there is no issues. I felt like this was a little pricy but I guess if it works to protect your things from getting destroyed then it’s worth it in the long run.Earlier today I wrapped half of a camera cord with this and the other half with the clear plastic tubing that this band offers ( I ran out of the black one, so I had no choice but to use both) time will tell if they’ll go after those cords again…. I also did the cords to both air conditioners with the clear tubing since we just installed them yesterday. I was able to do two ac units with one 10ft roll and still had some leftover.I can’t comment on how well the clear kind works since it’s only been about a 1/2 hour since I installed it. So time will tell. After a few weeks I will provide my review for it but under that particular products page. And if I think of it, I’ll edit this review with my opinions.

This cord cover was easy to put on and seems to protect the cord well. It seems to be made from a durable material and feels thick enough to protect from my cats teeth if they decide to chew on it.

Definitely works, highly recommend. My kitties aren't bothering too much with electrical cords. And helps keep them organized however a bit difficult to put the cords within

Great product! My cat doesn’t ever try to chew my cords anymore. They were easy to install, although I kind of wish they didn’t send the box cutter with it, I didn’t need it scissors worked fine to trim it to the right size! I do wish it didn’t cost so much for 10 feet. I felt the value for that was a little high.

Works well, and defeated my two cats. Also, very attractive. It's it my living room and is clearly a good look! Would buy it again! MaryAnn H

IT works, but what was pictured and what I ordered were a black grooved cable protector, and what I received was an ugly clear tube..it does the job but not what I had ordered. Too much of a hassle to return.

Vale mucho la pena. Mis gatos tienen algunos cables mordidos y eso es un peligro. No es difícil de instalar y se adapta muy bien a diferentes grosores decable.

Après avoir changer 4 fois de câble fibre dans l'année à causse de petits crocs. J'ai décidé d'investir pour protéger ce fameux câble.Super facile à installer et très résistant, je peux enfin profiter d'internet sans peur de trouver mon câble encore une fois grignoté.

Pedí este protector para cables porque mi gatita con 3 meses se ha puesto ha jugar y morder los cables y es un peligro. Lo compré para una lámpara de pie en el salón. Y la medida ha sido exacta .💜 Mi gata dejó de morder el cable nada más ponerlo. 😍🙌🏻 Lo olió, le dió con las patitas y ni siquiera intenta jugar con él. Como es grueso y ya no es como un cable finito, pierde interés para los gatitos que van a cosas más finas.💜 Facilísimo de poner! 💜 Viene todo el protector con el corte para sólo tener que ir abriendo y metiendo el cable .💜 Y un detalle que venga con un cúter por si tenemos que cortar el largo.💜 Si necesito más protección para cables lo volveré a compra
