Works like a charm
It is well constructed and reliable. It is easily adjustable to your needs, specially when you need to change the position of the microphone every other hour. There is only one thing that could be improved. That is the part where you screw the mic holder. If you need to rotate the mic you need to loose the whole part making it more complicated to adjust the inclination and orientation of the mic. But this is a very small detail.

Best option for most people
I bought a second, after the first one impressed. It's not extremely sturdy, but with a light touch these can last.

Won't last forever if you have a heavy mic but it's decent for the price
This is basically identical to the Neewer stand I got last time, which lasted a couple years. The only thing different about it is the adapter piece being made of metal instead of plastic. Eventually the Neewer bent at the base where the stand plugs into the screw on mount, and this probably will too someday. I have a heavy mic though (MXL 990S) so if you have something lighter it should last longer

such a great price and a must have!
This mic stand is a must have. It clamps on and is adjustable for a variety of surfaces. The boom arm allows you to adjust the mic at any angle that you need, without having to hold your mic. it is quality build and sturdy, the weight of the weight doesn't weight it down, which i've had problems in the past with.

Perfect and easy to use!
The spring tension is strong which maintains position. The arm is sturdy and the clamp is easy to attach.

The desktop clamp is not exactly what you'd call durable. The rest is.
The desktop clamp for the boom comes with a "threaded" hole and screw to tap down horizontal swing movement. The hole was a smidge too big, and so the screw kept falling out.I found another clamp to take its place, but I'm not too happy about having to have done so.Would I get this one again? Probably not. Quality control is a thing here.

Worked, for a small amount of time
Edit: The stand has completely broken down and is unusable. I have treated this thing with care and attention but it seems like I’m going to have to buy another from some other company. The verdict has changed, I no longer personally recommend this.Original: This is gonna be a short one but I feel like this needs to be said. If you are on a strict budget and need something to hold your microphone closer to your face, this does the job. Does it do it well? Not really. Does it work? Sure.I’ve paired this with two microphones I have and honestly it’s just okay. The build quality is cheap and nothing to write home about but it gets the job done. If you have a heavier mic, expect to have to readjust it every now and then. I’m not a fan of the cheap clamp mechanism holding the stand to my desk as it has a strong hold but not so strong grip. Also not a fan of the tightening mechanisms for keeping your mic in place, even at max tightness, they feel kinda loose but nothing severe.Time for the verdict, do I recommend this? Short answer? Sure. Long answer? I can recommend this to someone who just wants something to hold their mic closer to their face. That’s all this thing does and it does a sub-par job at it. For the price, it’s alright and I think it makes a great starting point. This is great for those who are starting commentating, streaming, voice calling and just need something cheap that works. I would definitely recommend upgrading from this eventually but as it is, it’s not a bad buy. I personally don’t find myself buying another but I might recommend this to my other friends who want to start streaming.

Flimsy. Not for heavy mics. Had to modify.
For the price it’s not bad at all. If you have a light weight microphone it will work just fine. I have an Electro Voice RE27 with shock mount and it’s a bit too much for this boom arm. I suggest you get something heavy duty if you have a heavy mic like mine. I’m technically and mechanically savy so I semi modified it by changing the wing but at and to add for more tightness and made it work for my setup for now while I wait for my Rode Arm to arrive soon. I will say the arm is pretty flimsy but what can you expect from a arm that cost less than $15 US dollars. Just don’t man handle it. Be very careful with it. Perfect for a temporary boom but but not long term at all. Hope this helps.
