In some cases, they do still make them like they used to.
These scissors are very nice. The blades are sharp, cut straight, and are a nice size for most situations. They appear to be easy to clean and maintain. The one knock that some people might experience is that they are quite substantial, and some folks with ginger hands might find the weight to be a touch on the heavy side. The case/cover that comes with the scissors is a welcomed addition considering the weight and sharpness.

Very sharp and excellent fabric scissors.
These are fantastic fabric scissors. I didn't realize exactly how sharp they were until I was clipping my centers on a project and accidentally cut my finger. They are so sharp that they cut my skin like it was butter. I would definitely buy these again. I just wouldn't suggest cutting yourself with them unless you want to have an ER visit. LOL

Wonderful shears
I've been telling my husband I wanted a really great pair of sewing shears. He has no idea what that means. So after opening the shears I held a piece of fabric in the air with my thumb and index finger. Ashe watched I opened the blades and slid them over 3" or so of the fabric, closed the blades and had a beautiful cut in the fabric.

Super sharp and heavy-duty
Love these for my macrame projects. Work great for me as a right-handed person. Don't think these would be comfortable for a lefty. Also, these are a heavy pair of scissors, so may not be the right fit for someone who needs a lighter pair. They are super-sharp and create a smooth, snaggle-free cut. My mom had a pair of these for decades. Hopefully these will last as long!

Super Sissors
I will not be without Gingher sissors again! These are made to perfection and are super sharp. They fit the hand well and are comfortable to use. They are not super heavy and work very well. This is the second pair I purchased in two months.

Outstanding sewing scissors!
My wife and daughter really like these Gingher sewing shears. They also have Kai professional sewing shears they really like as well. You won’t go wrong with either brand.
