PetSafe Martingale Quick-Snap Dog Collar, Red, 1 in, Large

Overall Impression: This is officially our favorite collar. We’ve been using our first one since September 2022, and it’s still in such great shape that we just bought a second one as a spare for the car. Fit & Sizing: Our dog is a fluffy 40lb pup, and the Size Medium fits her perfectly. What Makes It Different: Dedicated Tag Holder: This is a huge win. Most "cheap" martingale collars don't have a spot for ID tags, but this one does. Comfort: It sits comfortably loose when she isn't pulling, which makes me feel safe letting her wear it indoors. Durability: After over three years of use on the first one, there is no fraying or hardware failure. It is worth every penny. The "Pup" Test: Our dog genuinely loves it. When we pull it out, she runs over and boops it with her nose! Minor Wishlist: I do wish they offered more colors (I’d buy even more of them!), but the blue we have is beautiful. Final Verdict: If you want a long-lasting, high-quality collar that is safe for daily wear, I highly recommend this. Please don't ever discontinue these!

These collars are made out of durable material that can withstand even energetic and playful dogs, ensuring they remain comfortable and secure throughout the day. The sturdy clasp is easy to put on and take off, making it a convenient option for daily use. I prefer the martingale style for its gentle yet effective method of walking dogs, preventing them from slipping out of their collars. Furthermore, the martingale design discourages pulling and jumping, resulting in a more enjoyable walking experience.

This has been a great collar for our dog. The only thing to know is that plastic becomes brittle, so the buckle will eventually fail. We found this out when we were camping and a deer came to visit and our dog tried to chase it, and when he reached the end of his tie out, the buckle broke and he was able to chase the deer across the campground. The collar was 5 years old, so it was probably time to replace. The price point is excellent, so we'll just start replacing the collar yearly.

Nice little collar but it was way too big for my Chug. Returned it.

Love this collar, so do my dogs. It’s really wonderful for Dogs that slightly pull that you just want a little redirection. I use it daily and it is held up pretty well. I will say that it gets a little icky and stiff and does need to be washed with regular wear- this is normal though for anything nylon. For the price you really can’t beat it. It’s really quality and a nice strong collar. I love that. It has the buckle and is adjustable. The sizes on here are accurate. Just make sure that the size on the listing is the one that you want because for some reason, the colors and the sizes are not on the same listing they’re all separate.

Works as advertised, strong buckle!

I previously bought this collar for my girl and loved it, so bought another a few years later for my new boy. It is easy to put on, has a sturdy, but easy take on/off clasp, and works as a martingale collar should, especially when my 50-pound Aussie pulls. However, the size that it is adjusted to doesn't stay. When he pulls, the material of the collar easily slips through the metal adjusters. So, the collar gets bigger. If it weren't for the martingale part, my boy would've slipped out multiple times. PetSafe needs to change the material back to their previous material. My girl's collar holds securely at its adjusted size. Although she could use a new one, I don't want to buy another since the new version isn't the same.

I purchased this for our mini dachshund. She's right between 11-13 pounds. It's the perfect fit for her and she doesn't seem to mind it at all. When she starts pulling it gives just enough pressure on her neck for her to slow down and walk as she should loosely on the leash. The material is very durable and and good quality. The collar snaps on and off very easily and even has a place for their tags. I recommend this for help in training and leash walking.

Good collar fits my 7 month labrador perfectly. I use this with long line for training, correction to the dog and for walks only.

I ordered the medium size for my small beagle but it seemed big (and I do understand how the martingale should fit). I contacted the company's customer service department via email and, after some back and forth to confirm the problem, they sent a size small, which works for her. (She seems to be on the borderline for sizes and the martingale hoop on the medium size seemed very big for her.) I'm not sure why the medium size based on the chart measurement didn't work for her but they did resolve the problem. We just received the replacement collar and it seems well-made and reasonably priced (as did the original one). I can't speak to durability and sturdiness at this point but the company does stand by its products! Very nice customer service people!

good. recomend 100%

Mi perro, cuando se asusta tiende a escaparse del arnés, con este collar ya no puede; evita posibles accidentes.
