These are absolutely the best refried beans I have ever tasted. I don't understand the reviews from the people on here who say they don't like the seasoning. These are seasoned the way TexMex food is SUPPOSED to be seasoned. If you don't like these seasoned beans, then you must not like TexMex food either, so then why on earth are you buying refried beans? With most refried beans, they have about as much flavor as flour and water paste. Also, I like the fact that these beans are not made with lard. In many parts of the country, it is hard to find refried beans that are not made with lard--unless you want completely no-fat beans, and I don't want that. I want the shortening; I just don't want the lard. This is also a good price for mailorder.

We have this on subscription - only refried beans my daughter will eat. Way better than other brands.

Our family loves these beans. They have less saturated fat than other brands and the taste is amazing. My husband switched to these several years ago and we can't go back. I personally also enjoy Amy's various other flavors of refried beans. This brand is on the pricier side but for us the quality is worth the price point. It's also nice to have a bulk option via Amazon.

I like refried beans and I have tried several vegan friendly ones. I am not vegan but I don't like the lard used in the traditional ones. The flavor of these refried beans are on point however the texture is often inconsistence from can to can. I have others that have a better texture, but I can't get those given my location, but these are second best in my opinion.

I'll say it now, I'm a die hard Amy's fan. I've never had an Amy's food product that I didn't like and these beans are no exception. The flavor is so distinct and hard to describe, but it's very similar to the same flavors in Amy's Chili. It has a depth of flavor that you never get with canned beans, but you do with these. Definitely, worth a try if you've never had these. Since none of my local grocery stores keep the refried beans in stock, I'll be back here again and again for more because once you've had Amy's beans, you'll never go back to the other brands. Plus, these are gluten free.
