Simply awesome socks. Very comfortable to wear with trainers. Excellent value and they clean up well. Will be buying more.

These are men's socks but they fit me perfectly fine. I'm a women's sports size shoe 5. The material is thinner than I'm used to but so far they've held up well and have protected against calluses. I use them with my sports shoes for running, interval training, and at the gym.

Picked these up to replace a few pairs that had worn thin after regular gym and running use. Nike's basics range seemed like a safe bet, recognisable quality at a reasonable price point for something that gets put through its paces regularly and needs replacing periodically without much fuss. They're comfortable enough straight out of the packet. The fit is true to size, the no show cut sits below the trainer collar without slipping down during light use and the cushioning underfoot is adequate for everyday wear and lower intensity gym sessions. The problems start to show with more demanding use. During runs the heel tab has a tendency to slip down inside the shoe, not dramatically but enough to require readjusting mid session which is a minor but persistent irritation. For a no show sock that's a fairly fundamental failure point, staying in place is the primary job. The fabric feels less substantial than the price and branding suggest. After several washes the material has thinned noticeably and the cushioned sole has compressed to the point where it feels closer to a basic cotton sock than something designed for sport. The elasticity around the ankle has also loosened more quickly than expected, contributing to the slipping issue getting worse over time rather than improving with wear. They function adequately for casual daily wear and light activity where the demands on the sock are minimal. For anything more active there are own brand alternatives from sports retailers at a similar or lower price that hold up considerably better over repeated use and washing. Decent enough for occasional use but the Nike name is carrying more weight here than the product itself justifies.
