The CD version of Coming from Reality features 3 additional bonus tracks originally recorded in 19721973 for a third album that was never completed. The tracks were coproduced by Dennis Coffey and Mike Theodore, who coproduced the first album. The three tracks were first issued in 2009 on the Light in the Attic CD release, and were also featured in the documentary film soundtrack, Searching For Sugar Man. Review: Great Album - Loved his voice and lyrics. Great album! Review: Rodriguez is a gem. Layers of lyrics being just now discovered in America. - I had known about Rodriguez for a while but kept putting off listening to his albums. I listen to new albums (new to me) almost every day and it's hard to fit them all in. I finally, pulled the trigger on buying this after watching the documentary. Wonderful album. I also bought Cold Facts and am waiting on that. I love the laid back style to his voice juxtaposed with his lofty and poignant lyrics. The last song, which is detailed in the film, "Cause+", really hit home. It's quite a haunting end to this album. A lot of raw emotion in this LP. Even more emotional when you figure he was practically a house contractor for many decades after this album. He just never took off. Something about that really strikes a chord in me. This humble man in Detroit... Just toiling away at manual labor while his masterpieces are thriving in other countries unbeknownst to him. A sense of reality and unrealized dreams (not known to Rodriguez when he wrote these songs but known to the listener years later) adds a layer of meloncholic weight to this album. Yet, knowing a little about Rodriguez and his personal life and family dynamic, it loses a bit of that sadness and instead offers new perspective on greatness. This albums was a truly wonderful and grounding experience.

Sugar man ✌️🤙
My husband was so excited to receive this record! He got me listening to the music and honestly, it’s a movement. The way he poetically, prophetically, spoke through his music is something to experience. 🫶 The record came unscratched, and sealed which I appreciated.👍

What a legend!
Rodriguez should have been better know. I'm just happy to have found out about him, even if I was several decades late to the club. What a story Sixto's turned out to be. Rodriguez was nearly unknow to U.S. music lovers. Just as we were unaware of this great musician in the U.S., Rodriguez was unaware that he was a Superstar. South Africa to the rescue! Watch Searching for Sugar Man. What a story!

Excellent Music! Excellent Songwriter!
This CD is time worthy. Mr. Rodriguez's poetry is thought provoking, mind blowing, and oh so captivating! I can't get this stanza out of my head: 'Cause they told me everybody's got to pay their dues And I explained that I had overpaid them So overdue I went to the company store And the clerk there said that they had just been invaded So I set sail in a teardrop and escaped beneath the doorsill

Después del Cold fact
Segundo trabajo al año de publicar el Cold fact, y tremendo disco. Me flipa. A la par que el anterior, aunque con menos hits, la idea general de la escucha es igual de agradable.

This guy is unique.
I was fortunate enough to see Sixto Rodriguez in 1979. I've been after this album on C.D. for a number of years. Finally I have it. Thanks Amazon. I can highly recommend his unique folk/blues style to everyone.
