I bought this Songmics Flip Top lid Ottoman in the vain hope it would help my OH keep his "clutter corner" a bit tidier. In my head, the idea was that he would put all his odds and sods in it and then put the lid on to hide the eyesores and my inner peace and harmony would remain intact. The Ottoman is well made, easy to put up and is very sturdy. It's got a slight tweedy texture to the fabric and the colour is grey. All good. The size is perfect and fits down the side of the sofa just right. It could be used for all sorts of different uses and the split flip up lid is a very good design. BUT... my OH has filled it up with his clobber and then uses the top as a table for even more useless "should be put away somewhere" items. Newspapers, gardening magazines, post, charger cables, knee brace, random tin with even more random items in it that I have no idea of their origins. All sat proudly on show! So, the ottoman is definitely versatile, but perhaps more training of the OH to actually use it as "I" intended it to be used is my way forwards. Tsk! Great ottoman, though! Thanks Songmics!

Very good box for the shoes in the hall ..well made

I read other reviews raving about this and how the quality was so good. I was really sceptical given the price. When it arrived, my thoughts didn’t change as it was flat pack and I could see how this could possibly turn into a sturdy piece of furniture. However, after a 2 minute job of unpacking and putting it together, I was absolutely amazed by the quality!!! Seriously! The colour is perfect and classy looking. The material is lovely and it’s so sturdy and easily hold my weight (and I’m not light). I bought this as toy storage as seeing toys out in the livingroom when the wee one went to bed really got to me. Even putting toys neatly in a corner niggled me. Now, it feels like we have our adult livingroom back in the evenings. More importantly, our 20 month old son loves his new toy box, can easily open and close it and get on top of it or use it as a surface to play with his toy on. Would highly recommend.

Needed some storage to match my sofa so this was a good colour match, very well built and holds my weight easily and I’m a big guy, the only downside is there’s no handles or cut outs for you to carry the unit , other than that it’s great and would recommend for easy cheap storage

I didn't have a huge amount of faith in this being all that great, but in all honestly I was genuinely surprised. It assembles easily enough - just folds up and then you top it off with the lid, but once the lid is on, it's astonishingly sturdy. I'm 6ft tall and weigh 14 stone and I can stand on top of it comfortably without feeling like it's going to buckle under me (I'm not going to jump up and down on it to test it, but for standing for a short time it's fine), and similarly I can sit on it and it doesn't feel like it's going to flatten. Right now it's performing double duty as a snacks-stash to hide my snacks from my daughter, and as a comfy bed for my cat, who loves curling up on top of it. It has previously also worked as a footstool and an emergency chair when we had more guests than seats at one point.

Good storage and looks great matches well and good size

Strong and sturdy. Well padded seat lid. Opens half either side or ypu can remove the lid altogether. Was easy to open up into shape and place the bottom piece inside. Lid fits well. Looks great. Mine is the dark grey as I thought tge light grey might show up the slightest bit of dirt after the lid has been handle often for access. I got this to store my music stands, trombone stand, mutes and mute bag etc. Stuff I need regular access to that looks messy and ugly just piled at the bottom of my bed. This measured the exact size I was looking for and boasted to be able to take a lot of weight being put on the seat padded top. As I need to kneel on it to reach my Trombone and Bass Trombone behind that it made this a good choice. As you can see from the photo it is a perfect size for my space available and looks stylish.
