I do have the game color set. does this overlap or is it a good addition to the game color set?

The main difference between game and model colors is the vibrancy. Game is more geared for fantasy while model is more grounded in historical models. That being said, it can be a fine overlap. Nothing says you can't use both, but game color is something I use for D&D, whereas model color is saved for things like Star Wars or Fallout when I paint. So, in the end, it's really up to you

Can one use this paint for airbrush?

The paint needs to be thinned out. Vallejo makes a thinner to be used in conjunction with this set if you want to airbrush the colors on.

Are these paints suitable for rpg miniatures?

Yes. These are perfect for all sorts of miniatures and models.

It's All Here

All u need to start or upgrade your set up, All paint is fresh, no dry bottles as I read from other reviews, brush set, great carry case and the color selection is outstanding. I paid $188 for my set here on Amazon, saw the same sets for $194 and $230 from other sellers so look around.

Great selection of paints

This kit is massive! If you're just getting into painting miniatures/ models I highly recommend Vallejo paints. Their acrylics are smooth and perform better than most paints I've used before and their color is vibrant. Definitely worth the money if you have it to spend.

Vallejo is the Best!

This set is a great addition with a great color selection. Love the colors and it also includes Metal Medium, Satin Varnish, Matt Varnish, Gloss Varnish, and Thinner Medium. Also comes with 3 synthetic paint brushes. Super smooth paints and a totally different and better experience than other paints. This set made me love Vallejo even more than I already did.

Paint is fine, case was broken.

My paints arrived today and I was disappointed to see that the outside edge of the case was smashed, like a previous reviewer had said. It didn’t affect the inside so it’s not the end of the world. Just poor handling somewhere.

Used

I was very disappointed to find that over half of these pains have been previously used and a few of the bottles are more than half way empty. This review isn’t based on the quality of Vallejo paints, as I am a huge fan. But I was shocked and sad to discover this.

Great paint in great carrying case, smashed by Amazon; no extra charge. Thanks Amazon!

Expect great paints, a very nice and durable carrying case. Also, expect Amazon to deliver it to you cracked into pieces. First of all, mine was lost, okay that happens, then delivered to the wrong door (irritating) and after I finally get it; the back left corner was smashed into pieces. I was able to glue most of it back but Amazon has issued me a refund for the damage and trouble.

Looks like a nice set, arrived broken

Bought this as a Christmas present for my son. The case seems nice but it arrived broken, the shipping box just fell open when I pick the package up.
