Secrets, surprises, suspense, seduction, sweet sparks....SCRUMPDILIUMPTIOUS
...ok, so I've got groceries to shop for; a yoga class to attend (which I cancelled); numerous errands to run and can no longer ignore; my hair needs washing for cripes sake! and I'm beginning to resent the needs and daily demands coming from my family. And ya wanna know why?...because this frikkin' book has taken me hostage! My life has come to a screeching halt. Cobwebs are growing in my windows and family sits around the table with their utensils poised...waiting for their meals while I gripe at them to "get up and get it yourselves...I'm in the middle of a real nail-biter here"...and I blame it all on Ms. Meredith Wild!!! Holy hawtness Batman...Ms. Wild, whuddaya doin' to me?!!?? I'm fallin' apart and it's all because of this testosterone menace...this stud-i-licious, all day lollipop that is Blake Landon. He's so arrogant...such a devilishly delicious, achingly gorgeous hawt yummy piece of cheeze... Yeah, he can be a controlling jerk sometimes...especially when it comes to his obsession, Erica Hathaway. And Erica...hoo boy! She's dealing with the emotional trauma from a sexual assault...trauma that has resurfaced and is taking center stage in her life. All-the-while getting her fashion social network up and running; trying to flush out the hackers that are sabotaging and threatening to shut her down. All of this on top of her rapist reconnecting with her with an obsessive stalkers interest. And THEN....THEN...discovering who her biological father is...and isn't...and surviving death threats and being manipulated by greedy politicians up for election. I ask you, can it get any better?!? Any more suspenseful? This is the second installment to this The Hacker Series 5 Books Set by Meredith Wild series...This is one of those fabulous roller coaster rides that gives a total "body grab"...the ride that causes your tummy to flip. It completely engulfed me making me incapable of putting the story down. Nothing got done...everything was neglected...and if I WAS able to set the story down briefly, my concentration was worthless...completely gone as I could think of nothing but getting back to my story. I loved this story and Ms. Wild hit that ball outta the park with this fabulous plot of romantic dramatic suspense. This author has the fantastic ability/talent (or at least this humble reader thinks so..), of portraying and unfolding each scene to its zenith with technicolor and brilliant clarity building to a fabulous ear splitting crescendo. Before the reader is even aware what has happened, the Author has you captured and enthralled with the storyline as it deepens and the plot thickens. Character descriptions are spot on. Dialogue is original and well balanced with just enough narration told in first person. I loved how Ms. Wild painstakingly draws the reader into a slightly mysterious, yet sweet and intriguing romantic plot and leads us, inch by wonderfully delicious slow inch, through each step and phase of progression of Erica and Blake's hawt connection. Ms. Wild so capably and thoroughly conveys the angst and drama that Erica finds herself in...as well as the wonderful progression and raw excitement of the newness of the beginning of a hawt mutual connection between two people. Outstanding. There's no rush and because Ms. Wilds' talented capabilities..because of her expert writing, the reader has no choice but to feel connected as one with the main characters...there is no other alternative than to fall into the emotional romantic excitement . The journey is absolutely exquisite and delightful throughout. It never loses momentum. I loved the attraction between Erica and Blake and how it quickly grew into a raging inferno. She's soft to his hard- - she's sunshine to his dark. She's innocence to his roughness. And he quickly becomes lost without her. She becomes his reason to plan a tomorrow. I absolutely LOVED how she unintentionally made mincemeat out of his best controlling intentions. She not only becomes his reason for breathing...she becomes the very air itself. She's the thrum of his pulse and every whisper of his conscience....and he is hers. Erica is just as consumed with him. Brilliant Ms. Wild. Absolutely brilliant.

Unbelievable
Seriously. This. Book. Facepalm...... oh jeez, why are female characters always so clueless and weak?!1. The stepbrother @ the gala. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF!2. Her dad. You barely met him. He threatened you and admitted murder, but yea let him dictate your life.3. Leave the guy you love, because of your douchbag daddio. This is a re-read for me. I couldn’t remember it at all. I think I hate it more the second time around. I’m not even going to re-read the 3rd book, even tho I want to know what happens.

Still Imitating 50
This book is worse than the first one. They actually could have been put together to make one book. It's like someone read 50 Shades and thought this would be completely different because it's about a start up. Can we please stop writing books that are exactly the same? I know there's a formula which makes the story successful, but come on! Where's the creativity? This is trying too hard with all the plot thickening characters to be taken seriously. So far, this series is not a mystery romance, which it desperately is trying so hard to be. If you're looking for a story with hot sex, then look no further. If you want a story with some substance, this ain't it.

Hardpressed to find anything better than BLAKE!
I feel it necessary to start this one just as I began the review of Hardwired…WARNING!!!!!!!!If you are not a fan of some of the recent series with these kinds of characters this may not be the book for you! I honestly don’t understand why people who do not like these types of stories continue to read every new series that comes out and then gives it bad ratings and talks a lot of crap about it when obviously it’s not your thing! I say that because I am sure that this will happen with this book as well. Also, if you’re one of those people who believe that there is only room for one dominant billionaire man on the planet then you won’t want to read this book either. You’ll spend the entire time comparing Blake to your precious Christian, Gideon, or Jesse…Now on to the show…The best way to describe Hardpressed is to say that it had everything that I hate and love about these types of stories… but just like Hardwired, I LOVED it!!! I really enjoy the banter between Blake & Erica in these books. I also enjoyed the sexual growth and progression that was in this one. That one scene involving a spanking was tectonic plates shifting kind of orgasmic inducing. I’m also happy that while we are left with some questions to ponder and having to patiently or not-so-patiently await the next book we got a great deal of answers in this book. It ran the gambit in emotion inducing, from wanting to cry, to wanting to scream, and all kinds of gush worthy “awe” and “holy hotness” in between. So yeah, once again, I cannot wait for the next book!!!!

Another brilliant instalment. I was hooked!
Following the way that "Hardwired" had ended, I couldn't wait to dive straight into this book. I was desperate to know what was in store next for Erica and Blake. I loved the first book in this couple's story so I had hopes that my love for the series would continue with "Hardpressed" and I was not disappointed. This was another brilliant instalment that had me hooked every step of the way.Just like the first book, Erica and Blake's relationship was as bumpy as ever. There were so many ups and downs and twists and turns and so much going on that poor Erica never stood a chance to even catch her breath. The story progressed with a huge amount of intrigue and suspense. I was so confused with what was happening and who to trust as Erica's world was once again turned upside down.I adored Blake as soon as I met him and my love for him grew even stronger with this book. Out of all of the people that were involved in Erica's life, he was perhaps the only one that I completely trusted. I was so sure that he was on Erica's side. It was just a shame that Erika still had doubts towards him. I was once again unsure of my feelings for Erica. I loved the moments when she truly allowed herself to be loved by Blake, but I was then left frustrated and saddened to see that she continued to shut him out and push him away. Some scenes between the pair had me wanting to tear my hair out. They drove me crazy! Lol.I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and although there was no nasty cliffhanger to finish the story, I am still excited to hop back into Erica and Blake's world. If you are looking for a new series to try that is full of angsty drama and suspense, I would recommend picking this one up.

Good book but need more drama.
I love the book and will continue there series but sometimes I feel like I'm craving more from the characters a little more drama. Everything that's happening im already predicting pages before.i also don't like how the books continuously end so abruptly often what seems like mid-conversation I understand there are more books in series however i still believe each book could have its own type of course without just stopping writing.

I highly recommend to anyone with a romantic side!
I stumbled across the first book by happy accident and all I can say is WOW! I was literally gripped from the first page and the minute I finished it I went on to buy the sequels instantly.Everything about this book I loved - The writing, the characters, the romance. I especially loved that there was enough sexual content to make it realistic but not turn it into a seedy book. There was never a dull moment, I think I even might have cried at one point during the read! haI highly recommend this book and I will be looking out for more from Meredith Wild. Can't wait for book 4!

Getting better and better!
4.5 stars! Loving this series. This book has me gripped. Plot good, characters great. However, the arguing between them is a bit too much. They don't tend to agree on anything. He's also a bit too demanding at the end. However they suit each other and maybe it's because the female mc is a lot stronger and doesn't take to much crap! Steam 4/5 will definitely recommend this series. However, the price needs to come down a bit as a tad to expensive and the cover is not that appealing. Apart from that, superb :)

I <3 this series
I have sincerely enjoyed reading the Hacker series and the characters are great, they seem more down to earth and have actual real life issues. Wasn't sure how i'd feel about this series when I had seen reviews online stating that it was like fifty shades, although I agree slightly, I have found that it is different in so many ways!! The characters have completely different stories, backgrounds and its been an interesting read. There are some noticeable comparison's but if you (like me) loved fifty shades then its difficult not to nit pick. I genuinely loved this series and I can't wait for the next one!
