Insect Mix Bird Food 75G

The Orlux line of bird products is not as readily available as the less expensive, better known and more heavily marketed "off the shelf" bird foods/supplies, but it is a quality (European?) company that produces excellent bird food and products. Unfortunately, it is not as widely used and/or advertised in the U.S. as other parts of the world so it's availability is limited. Nonetheless, Orlux products are well worth the money and appear to be a cut above other foods and are well known among most serious bird enthusiasts. For me, a good bird "insect food" is becoming more difficult to find than ever and I am thankful Orlux's is still "somewhat available"...I mention this because it appears I now get my orders filled from a European/Great Briton source instead of any supplier/distributor in the U.S. Their egg food is also excellent and I have never been disappointed in any Orlux product. Try some....if you can find it!

My birds love this food, it's hard to find this brand in the US, was happy to find it. This is a great seller too.

Huge disappointment. Will certainly continue with the Orlux Versele-Laga insect pate for the rescued starling needing insectivore supplementation. This was LOADED with dried mealworms, which I already had for much less $, and which the bird does not eat. Honestly, it was hard to sift any usable "insect" ingregdients, even to sprinkle over any of the bird's other foods. The other "bakery product" portion of this food could easily be replicated in the basic Orlux insect pate, a much more satisfactory option. Live & learn, but an expensive lesson.
