I've had many of these, and some arrived broken due to the brittle plastic used. But if you get one intact, you'll want more. My birds are very wasteful, I think they get bored and throw food around. I stacked two of these, one below the other without a lid on, so the lower one started off empty and catches stuff my birds drop through. The lower one filled with almost new seed since they waste so much. Thinking of stacking 3 or 4 just to keep the birds busy and save seed.

The upper part walls that holds seeds are so bent that the lid doesn't go on without a LOT of work, and the seed catching tray, (the part that is supposed to prevent messes,) doesn't even catch all the seeds because it is so bent out of shape that seeds and the shells fall past it due to their curved in sides. The plastic base of the feeder has ridges underneath, so it is extremely hard to get the seed catching tray into the feeder. I also have had to reattach the base that connects the seed catcher onto the seed holding part already, just out of the box for one feeder, and once while it was attached to the cage full of seeds. Guess where all the seed goes when the base falls off. Yes. Everywhere. Just like it isn't supposed to do with a no mess feeder. The base wasn't even attached like it should be in these two feeders. Not enough glue maybe? I don't know, but so far, three out of three that I opened already are very poorly made, hard to use, 2 have needed repairs/glue, and all have needed a LOT of work to get put together. I am very disappointed, but this brand is the one that has hooks on the back side so they work inside the cage like what I need. I will keep them, but I would not buy this brand again unless I need this kind that has hooks on the back. Positive note: They DO keep the seed from making messes pretty well, when they work and stay together. I love having a no mess feeder because of the ease of use and the cleaner cage. That is why I bought a second set of these. But, there are other brands similar to this style. Buy them if you can.

Cheaply made, but it gets the job done. It's not exactly as pictured because what I received doesn't have the two compartments. I ordered this one specifically because I wanted to have a compartment for seed and one for pellets, but there's only one single compartment. I do like that the birds can't poop in their food and because of that I can put more in at a time. If you only put pellets in you can also dump the bottom try back into the top every few days to save pellets. We used to have pellets all over the floor, and now we don't.

My parakeets threw more seeds out of this feeder than in the regular open dish. Seems like they found it hard to use. Wasn't made very well. Top lid doesn't fit to close it. Pull out seed catcher hard to slide in and out. Not worth what I paid for them.

Has really helped to reduce seed waste!

I purchased 6 of these as my gouldain aviary needed new feeders and these were rated well. I’d like to warn others because the top seed compartment does not “snap” properly. They release and dump seeds everywhere! After wasting two hoppers of seeds I glued the base to the top and even then they didn’t fit well as they wouldn’t stay in their grooves because even new ones from the box were warped. I got smaller ones in this same style and they’re excellent but I’d recommend not purchasing the large ones here unless you enjoy cleaning and wasting your bird seed.

I was tired of the bird seed scraps from one biers, so I ordered this when we got our second parakeet. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FEEDER!

It unsnaps easy so it is tricky to open with out dislodging the cupboard
