This is so much more solid than I anticipated and works exactly for what I wanted-- a Pomodoro timer without being attached to my phone or computer. The timer functions perfectly -- with the 25/5 minute options plus a DIY time you can set yourself (I added a 15 minute timer to keep as my other option...) Has multiple functions for sound/light/vibration. And when not being used it's great in the clock function. Being able to have a vibration or light only means that I could take it to my office (whenever that happens again) and use it without bothering anyone else. I'm really glad I didn't buy the "cube" alarm I also looked at, because the clock has some added functionality--there's also an alarm. Something I might use to remind myself it's 5 p.m. because that's an issue sometimes too! (It does take 2 AAA batteries, not included--I didn't notice that when I bought but not a big deal.)

If you can't stand the ticking of a mechanical timer and are attempting to utilize the pomodoro technique, this is the timer you are looking for. You have the 25/5 minute timers ready to use by a simple move and shake, and then a 3rd time you can set as desired. The timer is set by positioning the device with timer side up and then pressing a start/stop button. While I initially wished for auto-start when positioning, I've since found that timers with autostart have a tendency to go-off randomly if your house has feline inhabitants that like to knock stuff over. The build quality on this is decent for the price point, and it has survived multiple falls off the desk due to the aforementioned felines. My only complaint is that the viewing angle on the device is poor - especially as one has a tendency to need to "look down" at the desk surface - and will see a heavily shadowed LCD. I'm guessing component selection cost and battery life came into play from the manufacturer here - but this substantially hurts the usability of the device overall. Despite not giving a full rating, this is the best timer I've found to date for utilizing a timer based work schedule with the benefit of silence while counting down.

This warrants a review. This little timer, smaller than I realized but still mighty, completely exceeded my expectations. I purchased this for Pomodoro writing sprints. I appreciate that it is one of the few timers available (trust me, I searched) that is already programmed for 25 minute work cycles and 5 minute breaks, with the added bonus of a DIY (do it yourself) timer that you can set to however long you need. When I'm doing writing sprints with others, I set it to 30 minutes. I am SO thankful I found this. Now I can stop using my phone to run timers and risk falling down a social media rabbit hole.

It's an interesting concept - you shake it, and it starts the timer. It could not be simpler. There are four different options for the timer function. Each takes just a flip to turn to the time you want. If you don't want the alarm sound when the time is up, you can turn the sound off. Vibration and light are two other notification options. I like all these features. The only thing I don't like is its sensitivity. Sometimes the desk just moves a little and the timer is reset. Overall, I still like it a lot.

The thing I love the most about this timer is that you can set the screen to flash brightly as the alarm. I bought this because I get hyperfocused and lose track of time, and the last thing I want when I'm in that mode is a sudden psycho buzzing and alarm noises (but it also has those, if your so inclined--loud and buzzy). The flashing screen is big enough and bright enough that I can't ignore it but doesn't give me an adrenaline rush. That alone is worth the money.One note: I read in another review that theirs didn't include English instructions. Mine did, and they were easy to follow.

This is a great little timer/clock. I like the compact and clean look. I'm using it for Pomodoro timing and the 25 min and 5 min presets are perfect for that. It's not intuitive to program so I keep the DIY countdown timer with the settings the same (don't lose the instructions!) Rolling it to the time/timer function is fun, and shaking it on and off is novel and easy to use. I love that there are options on notifications types. I usually opt for flashing or vibrating rather than beeping to keep me from being startled. One thing of note -- only one function can be used at a time so can't check run a timer then check the clock, or run two timers simultaneous.

I really love this clock! It is great for people who struggle with time management and for people who need a timer around. Honestly, I would buy it again without a thought.It’s also petit and compact for those of you who want to know :)The only thing I would say didn’t like it’s that after a few days of usage, the vibration mode does start making a kinda loud sound, but if you hit it softly it will start vibrating normal. Aside from that, I really like it and it’s worth the money.

This is a great product for those who want to apply the Pomodoro method without having their cortisol spike every time the timer goes off- silent but super obvious light "buzzer" is incredible. Easy to use,shake on and then shake off-rotate to change the time increment. The only downside is the clock doesn't function correctly, but since this is a timer and not primarily a clock it's not a big deal unless you plan to use it as a clock as well
