Great Spin bike- gym quality
I am an avid cyclist, 100-150 miles per month 8 months out of the year, when the cold weather hits make up for the days I can't ride outside with spin classes etc. Wanted a home spin bike, looked for what I rode at the gym. Found exact spin bike and purchased on Amazon. I had to assemble - but not much to it attach seat, pedals and go! After multiple rides over the last 3 weeks works perfect - just like the one at the gym. Quiet, smooth- don't waste your money on a less expensive bike with smaller fly wheel etc. I will have this unit for years. Only issue was shipping- UPS beat up the box, chipped the paint on the bottom of the front bracket, not a big deal works flawlessly. Great product, shipped quickly although roughly...

makes horrible loud noise
The bike makes this horrible screeching noise after tightening the resistance to a certain point. In all honesty the resistance is really not that high. I took cycling classes before having my baby and now strapped for time thought I would do this at home. I purchased this bike so i could workout while my baby napped and unfortunately the noise wakes her every single time. She is not a light sleeper! Useless, I'm extremely disappointed in the quality for the price. :(

A bit upset
Okay so i never took a spin class in my life and don't have any experience with these kind of bikes but for close to $1000.00 with tax you would think they could throw in a basic computer for cadence, heart rate, and distance. I bought this bike because this company sells these bikes to majority of spin gyms across the world and they are like the Apple of spin bikes. I can say that the quality and stability of the bike are amazing. I do love the way it's designed and built, no complaints there, but without a computer displaying cadence you can't follow the included dvds which constantly refer to cadence percentages and heart rates. I called the company and asked about a computer and they said they had one for around $167.99, but that it would not fit or work with the Edge. In fact it doesn't work with 4 of the new current mid- range models. They said that a new computer or adapter was in development but that there was no foreseeable time frame for a release date. Needless to say that without knowing how fast or slow I'm peddling I can't gauge if I'm in the right target zone so this bike is useless to me. I will be selling my Edge and getting a computerized excersize bike instead. Imagine buying a new car and it dosent come equipped with an odometer or a gas gauge. Then they tell you they don't currently have those features available for your model till god-knows-when. Ridiculous.

Premium Quality Bike
First let me say the quality of the bike is superior. The bike is very stable on the floor and is miles beyond the average couple hundred dollar item found in most sporting goods depots. Assembly is a cinch, as most of the bike is pre-assembled. I am primarily an outdoor cycle enthusiast and would prefer to be on the roads. However, during the winter and inclement weather, I decided the fluid filled trainer was not adequate. I have no regrets on my purchase but rate it a 4 instead of a five for one reason. It is too big. I am 5'10" and have to push the seat all the way forward to get a proper fit with my knees directly over the pedals in the fore and aft position. Outside of that, the bike is perfect. If you are a taller person, you will be fine. If you are shorter, you need to pay the extra $80 or so and buy the next model up that allows the handlebars to slide back.

AVOID
Bike came with 2 major manufacturing defects. Replacement part was also defective. The bike has some good features, but they obviously have some manufacturing issues (as well as customer service problems.)

After months of use, no squeaks or wobbles.
After months of use, this is STILL working flawlessly. Fit is still tight, no squeaks - very solid. One of the best mid level home spin bikes on the market. Very pleased!

This is a lot to ask even for spinning bike--I've worn out others by breaking cranks and chains--so I'm hoping for the best with
Solid bike. I ride for 1 hour standing up, three times a week, and for the first two weeks the Spinner has performed well. The nut on the front handlebars comes loose every so often, so I have to manually retighten. Not a big deal. Given my training, I have to tighten the wheel resistance more than most people, so that I churn slowly, as if always going up a steep hill. This is a lot to ask even for spinning bike--I've worn out others by breaking cranks and chains--so I'm hoping for the best with the Spinner. It did arrive with one cracked tightening knob (for the seat), no doubt from shipment to Golden, BC, not exactly a short trip from Ontario. Still, all in all happy, even though this is a pricey item.

What is that burning smell??
The resistance pad produces a strong burning smell when using the spinning bike. This can't be good for your health. Let me know if you find a solution. Otherwise, it is fine as a spinning bike.
