I love things furry and despite their bad PR, the rats on my land looked young, clean and healthy. I understand that as I own the land, it's my duty by law to kill vermin. To capture and release elsewhere is a criminal offence (if discovered ) and I did admit to the Environment Officer, that I had done this. He said, people do, but it only makes problems for other people. Also, because I've seen the rat take pellets from the same bowl as my free roaming domesticated rescue rabbits, there are diseases I should be aware of, he named them, I can't remember but it was enough for me to stop being sentimental and protect my furry family of rabbits. I was very impressed with the reviews but was dubious because of the rabbits on the land. Even so, other attempts to deter the rats were useless. I devised my own large steel cages and put the bait out. I only ever saw one rat sneaking around, trying to steel the rabbit pellets etc and after two boxes, it was still taking the bait. I contacted the Seller, and was reassured that it can take 5-7 days, then they feel lethargic and go back to the nest to sleep - never awake. I ordered more boxes and then the bait remained. 6 days later, I noticed the rabbits steer clear of an area and on clearing it out, there was a dead rat. I've cleared out all the long grass and logging so that the land is visible with no hidey places except large ones for the rabbits to rest under. I am going to brick up the gaps between the fence and external wall in an attempt to prevent rather than cure. The product was easy to use, weatherproof and did the job. The Seller was prompt in responding to my concerns and I would recommend the product to others. Although happy that the rabbits are now rat free, I still feel sad that it had to come to direct killing another furry animal.

Some rats had found themselves disturbing me for hours in the early hours of the morning, affecting my sleep and waking me up. This was happening every single night. I bought this with low hopes, thinking it wouldn't resolve the issue but it really did. They've completely disappeared ever since now and it's been weeks! Thank you.

I first bought the green/blue version of this product and was impressed, but this time I received the red version. At first I was a little disappointed, simply because the original worked so well. That said, once I put these down the result was immediate — no more activity, and I ended up clearing away 48 rats from what I thought was an infestation of 11. I really didn’t want to use poison, but I was losing control of the situation. Live traps failed, and snap traps can be brutal and messy. This formula worked efficiently, and in my experience the bodies were clean enough to dispose of without added distress. It does act quickly, which gave me some peace of mind about their suffering. I actually like rats, so it broke my heart to have to do this — but in the long run, it turned out to be the kindest option. I’ve been rat-free for over a year now, and after spotting a new one recently, I’ve gone straight back to ordering this along with the company’s green grains to keep on top of things. For anyone facing the same dilemma: it’s hard, but this product works. It’s effective, it’s quick, and in my experience, it’s kinder than dragging out the struggle with traps that often don’t work. After using the bait for over a month when blocks have been taken daily, sometimes 2 at a time, this is the first day when the blocks have not been taken! Perhaps they are working after all fingers crossed!

I’ve bought similar products but never seemed to work as the blocks weren’t touched. - Today I lifted my old rotting deck to replace it and there in the corner was a bunch of torn-up nesting material a Dead rat and a bait block, that he’d obviously been munching on! - its not a nice thing to have to do but unfortunately it’s become necessary and these blocks work - it better if they are taken by the rats so that other creatures don’t get in contact with them! 5*
