Very effective product
This is a very effective product from a very reputable manufacturer. It is based on traditional bitter formulations. I found it effective for nausea, reducing phlegm when consuming dairy products, and regular bowel movements. I looked at a lot of the one star reviews and I'm quite chagrined by them. The vast majority referred to the disgusting bitter taste of the product. It literally has the word bitter in the name and the more bitter the better. Bitter is an underrepresented flavor in the American diet and was considered a critical component of healthy diet in many traditional cultures, including India, China, and Europe. One negative reviewer was angry that the product was mostly alcohol. All alcoholic tinctures are mostly alcohol. The amount of a solvent like alcohol is always greater than the amount of the solute dissolved in it. Expect this to not taste good, but if you have any digestive issues that may be helped by bitters, I think the price is well worth the risk to give it a try. And if you're wondering what bitters were thought to good for, here's what ChatGPT says: Traditional European herbalism used bitter herbal formulations, commonly referred to as “bitters,” for a variety of digestive and metabolic concerns. The primary traditional indications for their use included: 1. Poor Digestion (Dyspepsia) – Bitters were used to stimulate the production of digestive enzymes and gastric juices, improving overall digestion. 2. Loss of Appetite – They were often given to individuals experiencing poor appetite or recovering from illness to encourage eating. 3. Sluggish Liver and Bile Flow – Many bitter herbs were considered “cholagogues” or “choleretics,” meaning they stimulated bile flow from the liver and gallbladder, aiding fat digestion and detoxification. 4. Bloating and Gas (Flatulence) – By promoting efficient digestion, bitters were thought to reduce fermentation in the gut and relieve bloating and gas. 5. Constipation and Sluggish Bowels – Some bitters had a mild laxative effect, encouraging regular bowel movements. 6. Acid Reflux and Heartburn – Despite their bitter taste, they were sometimes used to balance stomach acid production and reduce symptoms of reflux. 7. General Detoxification – Bitters were believed to support the liver in detoxifying the body and improving skin health. 8. Sugar and Craving Regulation – Traditional herbalists recognized that bitters helped regulate blood sugar levels and reduce sugar cravings. Common bitter herbs in European traditions included gentian (Gentiana lutea), wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), yarrow (Achillea millefolium), and chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla). These were often formulated as tinctures, teas, or aperitifs.

Delicious and possibly effective
If you enjoy bitters like Angostura, you will definitely like this. I think the flavor is great, very astringent but enjoyable. I do think it helps digestion and stomach trouble a bit. I wish the spray was more powerful or dispensed more volume at once so you didn't have to spray so many separate sprays to get a full hit of it.

These are the best bitters I've ever used… hands down
Before eating (recommended)… or during, after. This formula just works. Like magic. I had to have my gallbladder removed so sometimes I need extra help digesting fat and/or uncooked vegetables/greens. Really glad I have this and always have it on hand. This as a spray couldn't be easier. (Remember to hold in mouth briefly per instructions.) And every ingredient is certified organic. Awesome. I also really appreciate that they don't throw trendy immune stimulants in there because I have an autoimmune condition and would not be able to use it if they did. Perfect as it is, anyway. Herb Pharm has always been such a slam dunk company. So thankful.

Helps prevent reflux with low stomach acid
I have low stomach acid, which is also a cause for reflux, especially as you age. My functional med doctor recommended this and it seems to be helping. Haven't had reflux since using.

Working as expected
The product came without any damage and working properly. The taste is fair, not too disagreeable, I recommend that you hold it for 5-10 seconds after 4 sprays before swallowing. I bought this to assist me with gut motility issues, and I while I can't say I've noticed a significant improvement, I haven't had any strange side effects. So far so good, nothing to complain about with this.

Tastes terrible
Almost spontaneously threw up when I sprayed it in my mouth and can’t return it. So, don’t really know how well it would have worked. So, money down the drain.
