Knocked that glare right off the screen!
Great mounting options - I used the slide in tabs making filter removable at night, others may like the semi-permanent adhesive strips - It's very thoughtful 3M included both options. Slight loss of contrast with filter on and even slighter focus loss - sure lots better than glare. Fit perfectly, seems very well made and durable. Have not used other filters - 3M reputation convinced me to try first. Will buy for my other screens.

Ready to throw away
Don't get me wrong....this works as an anti glare filter. But you have to but the "tape" on the back right over your screen. Since this thing stops the glare, you only see the tape through the filter. I think I would rather look at the glare vs. the tape on my screen. Further, I have to use scotch tape on the corners to hold it down to the screen so it is not blurry.

Great at cutting glare, Application a little funky.
First off whoever the Moron is that started the whole idea of these newer Glare Screens needs to do everyone a big favor and go back to designing mirrors for Hollywood Starlets, Glare screens went out with the first flat screens, prior to that anti glare screen add-on's were big sellers because of the glare from the old CRT's and this idiot brings them back ! Now, I ordered the more expensive Anti Glare (not just a privacy screen) filter from 3M because I know they usually produce first rate products of all kinds, and as expected this truly is a First Rate Anti Glare Screen and has made my cheapo Acer laptop actually usable in my service van under most conditions, and without it I had to be in complete shade to even have a chance to see what was on the screen, So the Anti Glare Properties of the screen I rate at 5 Stars, now the reason for rating it overall at 4 stars is because while the screen is easy to install and fit well it uses an adhesive strip system that has you apply a tape like substance then remove it's backing and the adhesive stays on the anti glare sheet, this works well in general and is said to be re-positionable several times ( had no need to test reapplication, as it went on perfect), the lost star is because the adhesive shows up along the edge of the screen much more then I would have thought although in my case it really does not cause any problems it just does not look good, the sheet also has a crescent shaped cut in the top edge I am guessing as some kind of spot to grab the edge of the sheet should you need to re-position it, this also shows up and is not really needed, also my screen sheet had a flaw in the surface that looked like something was under it even before it was applied when nothing was on it, this too did not cause any problem it just looks like a dirt speck under it when it is clean, those two gripes are well worth putting up with for the amazing difference in improved usability and less eye strain.

but I cannot recommend it for a couple of reasons
I wanted this item to work for my Dell laptop, but I cannot recommend it for a couple of reasons. My caveat is the filter does work indoors under average lighting conditions, but it is not useful outside. I was hoping the filter would help, but outside the screen was less visible although the glare was reduced. Actually, I could not read the screen at all. I wanted to set it up using the tabs so I could use the filter as needed. Unfortunately after cleaning the screen and placing the tabs according to the directions; the tabs just did not hold the screen filter in place. The bottom tab started slipping right away along with the filter. The smaller side tabs also started to shift as the filter began to drop. I tried using multiple small tabs at the bottom thinking that would help, but no luck there as they all began to slide down. I removed the tabs and gave up on that notion. I tried the tape next. Cleaning the screen and applying the tape went fine, but in the transfer process I ended up with dust on the tape, so it was not bubble free. I cannot see any way around this in my home. The tape was 'clear' but it was obvious, especially with the dust bubbles. Just the same I would still see the tape outline on the screen. As I noted earlier, the glare was reduced while indoors, but the light reflecting off the filter outdoors made the screen unusable. This makes this purchase not acceptable for my needs. I do suggest you think carefully about your needs and what you want to accept before buying this filter. I would also assume that the tabs are not going to work unless your screen has some 'grab' to support the needed friction to hold them in place. The tape will hold the screen in place, but the tape will be visible on the screen. The only real good news was that both the tape and the tabs did not leave residue or marks on the screen.

Stops Glare in Its Tracks
Works great on the computers at work. Keeps the glare to a minimum and makes the screen much easier to read in direct sunlight.

Mediocre quality
I need a matte screen cover for my glossy laptop (why do they glossy screens?) This laptop is impossible to read without glare in any light conditions. I needed a matte/anti-glare coating. This product technically achieves this in the most minimal way possible. The touch screen is still just as functional and the glare is gone. But there are numerous gripes on this: a) the instructions were written in 15+ languages on onion skin paper. The actual English instructions i needed covered about 6 lines of incomplete sentences with several key details left out. Telling me to go watch your video isn't the answer. b) This doesn't stick to the screen like other protectors. It uses a system of "sort of" transparent strips along the edge. The problem is that unless you apply the strips *flawlessly* they will not lie perfectly straight and you cannot pull them up for another chance. That means they show through on all four edges and are now annoyingly backlit. This product does achieve the minimum requirements in the worst way. It will give you anti-glare but you will feel cheated by the experience. I do not blame the shipper/vendor for this but I directly blame 3M for inferior design.

Works as Advertised but with Sticky Installation (literally)
I bought the 14" Anti-glare filter for my Lenovo YOGA 910 laptop with its beautiful 4K display (3840 x 2160). The only problem with the almost perfect laptop is the glare on the screen. This filter cuts the glare no doubt, but it is a messy install in my opinion. My filter came with the Slide Mount tabs, not the Attachment strips. The main difference between them, as far as I could tell, is Slide Mount tabs are attached to the display and Attachment strips are attached to the filter. I hated to put anything sticky on my beautiful display but I went with it. I had to reapply the sticky tabs twice but I finally got everything lined up. And you don't have to worry about bubbles because the filter is not stuck to the screen, it "hangs" in the Slide Mount tabs. The filter stays on when I open and close the lid but it isn't exactly stable. It will slide around on the display a little if you press hard, but since I just installed it I am hoping it will stick better with time. Another good point is the touchscreen functionality still works, I don't think it is quite as responsive as it was before but it works. I attached a picture so you can see the Slide Mount tabs. I took the picture around 6:00 PM Central so the sun was not really a factor, but the filter made a big difference earlier in the day when I was outside as well as the glare from overhead lights.

Perfect Glare Reduction, but...
I am using this on a 15.6" Dell Laptop with a touch screen. As far as the glare reduction this product is spot on. With a window to my back I can now keep the blinds open and see the screen perfectly. The screen glare is eliminated while not reducing the overall brightness and quality of the screen. The reason I only gave this 4 stars is: 1. The filter fits the viewable area of the screen perfectly but is smaller than the overall screen size. It took a little doing to align it perfectly. 2. The filter is attached with small double-sided adhesive that can be seen through the filter. Since the filter just fits the viewable area the tape is over graphics on the screen This item needs to have a better way to attach it to the screen.
