Fogg It Nozzles - Superfine Volume

I bought this specifically to water new grass seedlings I had planted when re-seeding half of my back yard. Initially I had used a regular hose end sprayer on the finest setting but I think that still caused the seeds to be overwatered which resulted in them dying. So I learned that I had to use a very superfine mist on the delicate grass seedlings or they might die from too much water. Used it for the first time this morning and it worked great! It does indeed shoot out a superfine mist about 6 to 8 feet so can easily cover a normal garden area. Perfect for new grass seed or delicate plants or flowers. The mist looks kind of cool too and I can see using it to cool myself off when laboring outside on a hot day. Product is heavy-duty solid brass and seems like it will last a lifetime with washer replacement being the only needed maintenance.

A Great Mister

Love it! I set this up on hot days for my chickens and dogs. It really makes a difference in the air temp around it. Takes minimal water to run all day and makes a really fine foggy mist.

This is a very robust device, but it puts out WAYYY too much water for a patio or deck mister, which was my intended application. The deck was wet within 10 seconds. Even when I put it in front of a fan, the deck still got wet very fast. It would be fine for kids in bathing suits out in the grass or hot runners who want to get wet and cool down. But it is not good for adults wearing clothes who don't want to get soaked. This is the lowest volume of their foggers, so the other ones would be even wetter.

this works great on a hot day weather you're laying in the sun, keeps you cool or watering plants.

10/19/2023. Super fine mist is what I needed. Great for mist cleaning small seedlings and plants and not worrying about to much water pressure hitting plant. This nozzle has a inner screen like some sink faucets have and it prevents the rubber nozzle gasket and hose end from sealing. Results in lots of water leaking from thread in area. Remove the wire screen and you get the proper seal. The weave holes of the screen is 10X the misting holes size and will not prevent clogging debris from entering. Analogy would be think fist size screen grid hole to prevent a blockage in a pinky size opening. Great hand misting nozzle, I would buy it again.

I ordered this for use as a bird mister, but it produces too much volume for that unless you’re watering emus and . It does work well for watering seedlings without damaging them, cooling animals (and small children) in hot weather. Made of brass, it should last if you keep it dry between uses. If it clogs, you can use an old guitar string, a straight pin, or a sewing needle to clear the nozzles. Don’t soak it in vinegar or any other mild acid as that will accelerate corrosion of the brass.

The misting qualities of this unit are excellent. I just screwed this on the end of a garden hose and clamped it to a stake in the ground, aimed up and towards my tomato plants and ferns, and gave them a gentle mist a couple times a day during the summer which worked quite well. This spray head has a lot of mass, (solid weight), and is so far clog free. You can control the mist density across a wide range by how much you turn on the hose. It works well at a very low pressure and is easy on the water bill.
